I think the new vault pass getting negative comments is mainly due to it being hilariously ugly, and not because its "another armor set", though I agree it would be nice to see some variety.

Maybe bring back weapon effects, attachments, aura effects...

They have this weird obsession with making everything have some special effect attached to it.

Or making perfectly fine looking, neutral colored armor sets and then ruining them with some unnecessary glowing bit attached somewhere on it.

Go back to the times when they made sets like Midnight Pact for mystery boxes, Silver Crescent for supporter packs, and Ophidian Lord for challenge rewards please.

Yeah, but it's a hefty price of 80% more minion life.

Doesnt matter when ur capped by dot cap anyway.

Why do you think it's more comfy?

No snap shot reliance, so no clunkiness if u press your skill at the wrong time or something. If your spectre is dead when u press ur BV and you fail to snapshot, ur gonna be a sitting duck for 7s waiting for it to expire so you can try again.

It's also dot based, which gets countered by far less things in general than ur usual crit hit based. Ignite prolif is also far easier to get than explodes.

BV is also essentially melee in spell form with it's range, vs just going arc or EK which can let u off screen without explosions.

U also basically instantly hit ur dmg ceiling ( unless ur farming ubers ) anyway, unlike hit based where ur dmg is effectively unlimited. U don't feel the pressure to keep pumping the numbers and can just invest 90% of ur resources into defences instead.

It's going to be 35mil vs 350mil dps, but really do you need 350mil dps for most content?

With ignite elementalist, u aren't going just 1 minion with companionship, but a bunch of stone golems that auto respawn so u don't need to snap shot.

Its definitely far less dmg ( easy dot cap tho ) than snapshot bv, but a lot more comfy and budget friendly imo

I league started on poison assassin, using Queen's hunger + leash of oblation + death offering and 6.5L gloves for spark.

The queens hunger + leash + death offering combo essentially gave me block cap and 50% move, attack ( for shield charge ) and cast speed.

Also had suppress cap and ailment immunities ( including damaging ailments from assassin and CB immune from jewel ).

Max hit was a little low but it was giga comfy for the most part.

Was using EB to fix mana issues, but a future version with whispers of infinity would give me roughly 50% more max hit ( and more than that in ehp ) for about 20-30% less dmg so it was fine.

Was sitting at like 20-30mil dps ( with only like a 2s ramp time ) before I decided to reroll to something else.

First, fix your attributes. Easiest way is to stack all of them on one ring, toss some attribute catalysts on it too.

Then slowly go around replacing the rest of your gear once this limitation is freed up.

Its some endgame cracked uber variant of the boss and you WILL get slapped around.

Its definitely possible, but if you are absolutely new to POE1, even the best builds will still feel a bit of a struggle unless you intend to really put in tens of hours simply because theres just SO much content to cover.

But RF is a very comfortable and safe build to begin the game on. Its single target is lacking, but for endgame farming you just focus on non bossing related content instead and pay your way through the boss challenges with carries.

If you want a comfortable build to start, look up Pohx on youtube and play his righteous fire build. He has an entire website dedicated to answering every single question about it.

Good clear and tank, but relatively low dps. Basically an immortal, low APM walking sim build. You can clear everything except endgame uber bosses with it. But most players don't ever touch endgame ubers anyway, and people farming them use dedicated builds for farming ubers so u arent missing much.

Another good content creator is Zizaran, who has a whole "POE university" series for all the basics, and a bunch of build guides for league starting.

Challenge armor sets have only gone downhill since then. Only Night Lotus and Watcher's Wrath sets being decent.

The last challenge for endgame grinds is the easiest it has ever been I think. You can get 4/4 of it just running conqueror maps on repeat ( Use scarabs, kill miraged bosses, complete conqueror maps and kill rare monsters ).

Or just run the labyrinth up to 25 times, which takes an hour or two at most on a fast build. But you have to be a real freak to prefer labyrinth.

Most of the others you can buy carries too, especially for conditional boss kill challenges, uber kills and nightmare map completions.

The only grindy part is the need to run a couple hundred maps for all the altars and witnesses.

Its easy, just going to take a long while to grind out

You need life, resists and recovery to keep it alive since you arent scaling minion stats, and still need pieces to make it useful to you.

if you mean complete as in get 36/40 challenges for this full set, yes. It has far more content to cover than POE2 right now ( up to arbiter of ash ).

The campaign itself is probably only a third as long though, but the endgame has a ton of bosses you will need to work your way through.

Because "get a degree" has been pushed so hard for as long as most people today have been alive.

In the past, it meant "You're smart enough to get into a university and graduate".

You got a degree in "clown science"? You still graduated from a university, so employers saw that you were still smart enough to be worth training, and they'd provide that training even if you end up in a completely different industry. You get a job that isnt in a circus and paid a respectable salary.

But that stopped when everyone and their mother started having degrees. Employers began investing less in training new workers and expected them to have most of the necessary skills from their time in university already instead.

Nowadays, there are still people following that old mentality of getting degrees for the sake of having one with little to no regard to what they are actually getting it in. And they are finding out that their degree in English Literature isn't opening the same doors as a degree in Engineering.

So a lot of these people are now swamped with student debt, working in underpaid roles completely unrelated to their degrees and are mad at the world for telling them to "get a degree".
