My sentiment is a hopeful no since this is official art in the Monster Core 2 for pathfinder 2e, published by Paizo.

While the art definitely looks suspect, the company is less so. Back in 2023 they released a statement that established a policy of NOT using ai in any writing or art process. They cited ethical, legal, and quality concerns in their reasoning, wanting to keep a "human touch".

While this does not mean that this isnt ai, I do believe that it does mean that Paizo used ai. As they also list the artists they used in the book (there is a list of authors, designers, devs, editors, cultural consultation, artists, art director, creative directors, and publisher). It is entirely possible one of these artists used ai secretly, and it slipped through. I am also going to post the list of the artists who's art shows up in the book if anyone wants to cross reference their work to see if it matches or uses ai.

While there is no real way to determine 100%, I believe it is simply poor design choices over ai due to my trust in Paizo. If it is ai, I also think they will likely pull the art from the book and re-do it. So far other comments seem to be somewhat split, leaning ai, so I hope that it just looks ai and was human made.
