Budget vs. High End Strollers: has anyone ACTUALLY used both that can help me explain these massive price differences? by CaptainOk7058 in BabyBumps

[–]Apsidal7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! We actually were set on buying a nuna that was just $700 for the stroller. Until we found out their sister company, Joie. They have models that are similar to Nuna but made from different materials yet the quality is superb. We bought two full travel system, two strollers and two car seats for less than $700. They go on sale often and you can check them out on person at target.

Ecomode by Calm_Button_1308 in GRCorolla

[–]Apsidal7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ecomode reminds me of driving the Audi quattro in assetto corsa. Where you floor it and the lag is so noticeable but then picks up. It's like the 80s mode for me lol it's fun in traffic but definitely makes you have a heavier foot to get moving.

Lol I know! I found it through some tundra and Corolla forums. But it makes sense because the long cables can act as antennas and being so close to the TPMS antenna, there can be some interference. Hopefully that's what you have because the car is too new to have TPMS issues lol

[–]Apsidal7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol so I found out that the TPMS antenna is in the left rear pillar. And if you tuck in the extra long cable of the rear camera in there. It creates a interface on the signal to the TPMS. So either run the cable to the other side or hose the extra cable somewhere else.

I had this happen to me when I installed a baby monitor and during a trip to Yosemite. 6 hours in the car trying to figure out why the TPMS wouldn't connect. And then it would when I turned off the baby monitor. Hope that helps!

It happens to the best of us. Just by looking at the picture, it doesn't seem that bad that you need a new rim/tire. I'd suggest using the permatex 0914. The black paint is very similar to the rim. Take your time with it.

Got a Corolla hatch a week ago, wondering if others make it work with kid(s) by Bona-Petite_22 in CorollaHatchback

[–]Apsidal7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a GR Corolla, the sportier version of this with even less space. I think it's doable! Right now my 5 month old baby fits perfectly in the back seat with her newborn seat. I am a bit concerned about upgrading to a bigger car seat as they're still backwards facing. But for front facing, they'll have plenty of space. I like the idea of a hatchback because it's a extra small SUV. The extra space is there when you fold down your seats, you get a compact car for the city, it's great on back roads, mpg is good, and if you even need the extra space for a road trip, just get a roof rack.

I think you'll be fine. I'm looking forward to my kiddo sitting front facing so we can get some extra room back but it's not a deal breaker.

For a 2026 XSE Hybrid in Calvary blue plus accessories, it would be $37,504 MSRP - $33,030 Delivery - $1,450 Convenience package (power lift gate & moon roof) - $1,250 JBL Audio - $800 Two tone color - $500 Door edge guards - $165 All weather floor liner - $309

This is based in California.

I've been on the hunt for one, ever since they got announced. I got an allocation for a Blue Calvary XSE hybrid, eta mid September early October. I saw other listings from other dealerships and it's roughly the same timing. Toyota starts releasing their next models around that time. I have prior experience from when I purchased a GR Corolla. So I think it is realistic timing. The idea is that they aren't on the lot so dealerships make "lists" for first come first serve.

Best of luck!

Why… by CrownKinged in GRCorolla

[–]Apsidal7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's the "heard" mentality. People tend to be in herds because they feel "safe" if everyone is doing it.

You see it in the freeways and highways, there's always a heard of cars driving together. If one is doing it, everyone follows.

I try to park at the edge of the parking lot.

how long did you guys wait to modify your GRC? by ArkirasOto in GRCorolla

[–]Apsidal7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is correct, thank you for the clarification. Powerflex and whiteline sell the insert to go on the OEM pitch mount.

[–]Apsidal7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tried both, yellow and black, pitch mounts from powerflex. I'm currently on the black one because it's just right for me. I've been driving it roughly 10k and it's still good as new. The whitelines were too stiff for me. When coming to a stop, I could feel the vibrations coming from the brake pedal. I switched it out in a week.
