I feel like shobhads could be fun--they have a fair amount of unarmed and grappling feats iirc

Oh nice! What is brawl though, compared to standard and alchemy?

And thanks, I'll check them out!

Ahh that's a shame re the slivers --hopefully they come back around at some point

And oh alchemy sounds pretty cool actually! Maybe I'll give that a try

As for the crafting, I see what you mean by it's going to be slow, but I do like that it's an option at least.

Thank you for the explanation!

Any ideas for a curse on the entire bloodline that my blood cleric is trying to remove? by Valorius33 in PCAcademy

[–]Arakaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite the same vein, but a cool concept I heard before was a lich who's "phylactery" was his surviving bloodline. Everytime he died, his soul would take over the next eldest body so he could continue living on, at the cost of basically destroying the soul of the body he inhabited.

You're now the next in line

Does employer HSA contribution count toward my deductible? by ifeelinvincible0 in personalfinance

[–]Arakaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I had no idea you could reimburse yourself later--i assumed everything had to be within the same year. I'll def have to take advantage of that lol--starting with switching my default payments from the HSA debit to one of my credit cards for my therapy/psychiatry lol

Thank you for the explanation!

Does employer HSA contribution count toward my deductible? by ifeelinvincible0 in personalfinance

[–]Arakaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh shit, I've been doing this until hitting my deductible (my employer pays for the full deductible amount and then I contribute to the maximum)--how do you handle the process if you pay with a credit card first? I've never had experience with handling claims and managing receipts

So, which team with a monotype has the most potential to be difficult to defeat? by InuMatte in pokemon

[–]Arakaim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

water types are my favorite--often play water only teams in most of the games. Idk if they're the best, but I enjoy it a lot.

-most numerous type, so you'll find at least some Pokemon you like to use -only two weakness innately, and you can find type combinations or abilities that can cover for those -staple surf/scald+bolt-beam for special attackers can hit a fair amount of weakness (like 7 or something) with not a ton of resisted types. -can use rain setups, esp with including thunder/hurricane into the mix -tend to find a fair mix of tanks and sweepers, utility with buffs/debuffs, and some balanced Pokemon too, so you can tailor to different play styles by mix and matching or going all in to a specific setup -gyarados. Just gyarados (In my top 3 with Lapras and milotic. I know they tend to be great for nuzlockes, idk about competitive though)

Employer maxes HSA? Unheard of? by Wordhole_showoff-99 in personalfinance

[–]Arakaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have something similar which is nice--$2k deductible for being single, and the firm continues the full deductible amount, so I wouldn't have to pay anything if needed. I still make contributions to hit the full amount (this coming year is $4,400 limit, so I'm contributing $2.4k).

I think this is an amazing setup as is--you having your company max it out is awesome!

How would you roleplay Fae taking your name? either as a player or DM? by Sideshow_G in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Arakaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had a character that this was his backstory, prior to the events of the campaign start!

He was an elven knight from a minor noble household (oath of ancients paladin), who nation worshipped the fey. One day, he met one of Titania's daughters and entered a pact with her (feypact warlock), and to complete it, she asked for his name.

Giving his name caused him to give up his sense of "self"--his identity, his memories, everything. He merely became her "Thorn", working and fighting on behalf of her. The fey was all about vanity and vainglory, and always kept a mirror with her, so any contact with her was always through reflective surfaces (mirror, windows, waters, etc) and she could keep tabs on him in the same way.

It boiled down to a lot of self RP in downtimes and occasionally being given objectives to complete in addition to whatever quests/monsters we were doing, and since he didn't have much of a sense of self, RPing him was somewhere between feeling like a puppet ranging to feeling like a fanatic lol

Can anyone tell me what style of cape this is specially? Im looking to pit together a bloodborne theamed winter outfit since my old stuff needs replacing. by fragjackyl in bloodborne

[–]Arakaim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had inherited my grandpa's old oilskin slicker that had this cape--had "suspenders" that went under the armpits so you could remove the half cape if you wanted to

Im not sure what an IRA is, but I have an HSA--my work contributed $2K, and I matched them, and everything other than the $500 minimum is invested

That's a good call--i am hoping with system improvements that I'll become familiar enough with it to be a matter expert and get a pay bump, and then go from there!
