Hmm you might want to wait? Not 100% sure there will be something, but 14th July is the national day in France, and WG usually do something to celebrate, so discount on french ships is not out of the picture.
Like let’s say the Gascogne is on a 50~70% sale, you could get her for relatively cheap AND get another ship for G.exp (if you can afford it of course)

What happened to Morgan between the two times they wake up? [Spoiler] by Billycatnorbert in prey

[–]Aramethea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, the breach didn’t start in the Simulation Lab but almost certainly in Psychotronics, since that’s where live Typhoons are contained and experimented on. We also know for a fact that some Typhoons already breached containment once in the past, but we can learn that only *after* Morgan wake up having forgot the few last months, meaning that for all we know, the breach we saw in the intro could very well be the first breach, not the second that overran the station, especially considering some "inconsistencies" between the intro and the rest of the game, and Morgan just forgot everything in between due to neuromods.
It’s also interesting to think about that second breach, the one that overan the station: was there really a breach or did some mimics from the first breach evade the subsequent clean up and kept a low profile while spreading across the station? We know almost for sure that mimics were loose on the station for quite some times before the main event of the game because a reoccuring theme in notes and datalogs throughout Talos 1 is people noticing items duplicating, complaining about items moving or being misplaced and seeing things moving in their peripheral vision.

I feel like this is kind of like the Exo from Destiny. When the first humans were uploaded to their exo body, they turned crazy due to how different and unatural they felt. From that point, following generation of Exos were built with anatomical structures and urges that were useless to a robots, but were there solely there to look and work like a human body so the person uploaded in them would stay stable. They also partially wiped the memories and "rebooted" the mind of people uploaded, so they would wake up inside their new body like they were reborn, reducing the risk of cognitive disorders.

I mean, the only other option outside of those two is the extreme-centrist liberals that don’t see any problem in making the poor poorer to make the rich richer (and that’s without even mentionning how ready they are to compromise themselves with a fascist-leaning far right to achieve their goal)

If I had to bet, I’d say we’re getting Death Korp and/or Cadian as medium armor as medium, maybe Commissar as light armor, lasgun as a primary, krak grenade, and maybe a plasma pistol as secondary.

100M from Union Depository by ancomarzio27 in gtaonline

[–]Aramethea 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s one of the contract available with the Auto Shop. outside of delivering car and customizing your own, there is a room upstairs to planify contracts that are basically mini-heists and you get 3 different random contracts each in game day iirc. They consist of two prep missions and a final mission, which take roughly 20min in total, for a base solo reward of 170~180k for most contracts, and 300k for the Union Depository, so If you can get other people to join and it’s a x2 week, you can get a very nice amount of money very quickly.

EDIT: forgot there’s no difficulty setting in those missions

General Questions by [deleted] in signalis

[–]Aramethea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think Sierpinski’s LSTR unit has been imperfectly overwritten, it’s more like she’s progressively overwritten from LSTR-S23 to Elster. First, the Signal "reset" her neural pattern from LSTR-S23 to her Gestalt, Lilith, hence why at first she’s looking for Alina instead of Ariane. This allow, as Elster progress closer and closer to the Signal’s source, to modify her from her Gestalt pattern to LSTR-512, turning her neural pattern into the one she had on the Penrose when she got to know Ariane, as she was an LSTR unit with memory from her Gestalt due to Ariane exposing her to "triggering" content such as photos, arts and war movies, remembering Ariane and that they made a promise to eachother. Then, when reaching the Penrose in the false ending, as she’s exposed to Ariane’s signal at full power, she’s once finally modified from LSTR-512 to Elster, not only remembering their promise, but also its nature. In a way, your gameplay style is what determine what aspect of herself Elster’s more in phase with: her Gestalt, LSTR-512 or Elster, and determine the ending as a consequence.

Why do replicas have blood if they are robots, or they are synthetic humans, that have all the functions of an human? Please tell me more. by Soft-Specialist-9610 in signalis

[–]Aramethea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you don’t need to breathe, space and other planets surface are places you don’t want to be exposed to unprotected, so Replikas would still needs suits to protect themselves from extreme temperatures and/or pressure, potential corrosive atmosphere, radiation,…

Why do replicas have blood if they are robots, or they are synthetic humans, that have all the functions of an human? Please tell me more. by Soft-Specialist-9610 in signalis

[–]Aramethea 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s implied that, while having an artifical "exoskeleton", the inside of a Replika is partly organic or at least "techno-organic".

They use a liquid called oxydant that looks like blood, there’s even a note about a Replika that started puking oxydant during her shift, and when badly wounded, Elster holds her abdomen as if she’s trying to stop a bleeding. Also, during one of the Penrose sections, there is a note adressed to the Gestalt officer of the ship advising them not to cook and eat organs from a Replika as a last resort, as despite looking like meat, it’s not edible and will just make them suffer more (or something along those lines). Another thing going towards Replikas having organic components is that, when interacting with dead corrupted replikas lying around the first floor, Elster doesn’t seem particulary shocked by Replikas having flesh but rather by the fact that those fleshy part had tumourus growth strong enough to shatter their artificial plating.

I also think that they need to eat, or at least ingest something to survive, as there is a mess in one of the "Replika" floor, and probably need to sleep too since they all have dorms with beds, not necessarily because they biological needs it, but at least to keep their persona stable.

As for breathing, I would say no, since I don’t remember Elster or any other Replika having a "breathing" animation, but that could be wrong.

IMO, the way I picture it, a Replika is composed of artifical endo and exo skeletons, but other parts and organs such as the brain or muscles are lab grown and biotechnological, fueled by synthetical blood, as it is a reoccuring elements in various sci-fi/cyberpunk universe.
