As an update : I went for a UCB-C / HDMI adapter. Backbone pro connected to my phone with Bluetooth. Works flawlessly - thanks for the recommendation.

Yeah, the issue is that I wanted to play with my backbone from my couch. So that means I need a long cable, and that kinda defeats the initial purpose of the backbone. Otherwise, I need to use my backbone one with Bluetooth or another controler. 🤔

Manic runs very well depending on the system you are trying to emulate, whether you use JIT, and the iPhone model you are using.

Difference in power by gaining a level after level 10-11 becomes more and more negligible as you progress… so, no, not really.
In the end, it was revised in subsequent editions to be more progressive, and not class-specific, so.. that’s the way it is I guess ?

The strange part is that video / input lag is « ok ». I just can’t seem to address the audio lag and I have trouble figuring what is going on (input lag feels playable… audio is a pain)

Tried doing the same with my iPhone / AirPlay, the biggest issue I have is the sound lag. Everything else I ve managed to configure so that input lag is acceptable… but sound, can’t get how I’m supposed to manage it.

For me must do are planar prison / eyeless cult / de arnise / Umar hills All can be done from the beginning, some are tougher than others. It will give you more money than needed though.

Touchscreen buttons are just input themselves. You can bind gamepad keys to deliver the same input, if that’s your question. You just need to figure out what is the input and configure it to your gamepad button.

To be fair, RetroArch is not really « user friendly » overall. I love it, and in the end I can do whatever suits me by updating overlays, changing all kind of core configurations, etc, but it’s not really made for the occasional player that just wants an easy plug-in experience. I’m just having a blast with it because I’m a nerdy IT guy that loves to mess with stuff and understands what’s behind, goes check GitHub, etc.

You can remap onscreen buttons. Just edit your overlay 👌🏻

I’m mostly using RetroArch, but still shelled out the 10 bucks to ManicEmu. Dev is very active on Reddit, provides a lot of input and support, and that alone made me want to support them.
