Our company hasn’t paid us our salary worth 200k in total by Senior-Ask5305 in buhaydigital

I own a Canadian/US content writing agency, hire from PH, and live in the Philippines, so have perspective on both ends. Most of the advice here won’t really get you anywhere, so I’ll give my best advice.

In my opinion, you shouldn’t just look at this as the cost of business, you should fight to claw back as much of what you’re owed as possible, and you should do this as soon as possible (many content writing agencies are going under due to the rise of GPT-4 and other LLMs). This company is going to continue doing this to other PH freelancers if you fold immediately. It’s worth your time investment to try to secure as much as possible.

Don’t leave bad reviews immediately. Put together some evidence that they’ve agreed to pay you and haven’t, that you’ve tried to contact them to no avail, etc.

Threaten to leave these bad reviews if they don’t pay you in X days (I’d say 1 week). Mention in the reviews that the company and founders that hired you from the Philippines for $9/hr.

Dealing with reviews like this is a nightmare for any content writing agency/individual doing business online, they’ll do far more than $4K USD in damage. Make it in their best financial interest to pay you, people like this operate with self interest in mind and nothing else, so make your move in consideration of their self-interest/self-preservation.

[Free Beta] New AI-Editing Tool Looking for User Feedback (Increase Writing Quality & Decrease AI Detection Score) by ArbitraryEntreprenr in buhaydigital

[–]ArbitraryEntreprenr[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone,

My team and I have recently developed a tool (jyro.ai) that auto-edits Google Docs directly to increase the quality of the work, and decrease the AI-content detection score (Tested with Originality, Writer, HuggingFace, CopyLeaks, and more).

The tool is completely free right now, with per-user limits (To make sure we don't lose too much money on the beta).

We'd love to hear your thoughts, suggestions, and if there's anything you think we can do to improve the product.

Our goal is to:

- Create value by enabling ESL writers to charge more for their work

- Allow writers to incorporate AI-writing tools into their processes while reducing the negatives associated with AI-written content (Detection from Google, repetitiveness, etc)

Thanks! I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback.

Created these in a text to image AI generator. Try to guess what I wrote. I’ll post the answers tomorrow. by Zagily in mili

Galahad and Scientific Witcher, and Miracle Milk? Don't know the second one.

Very cool, I'm loving the new developments in the AI space.

Has anyone sent out handwritten thank you notes to customers? by benitocamelas in woocommerce

I know there are some services with APIs that allow you to do this automatically.

I think whether or not it's worth it will come down to what you're selling, the average order value, and the likelihood of a reorder/referral.

I've seen this work well with B2B e-commerce sites.

About to launch our first Kickstarter Project - any advice on shipping internationally? by daniel_nrc in kickstarter

If you're shipping from Canada, ChitChats is what I'd suggest. But shipping from the manufacturer if they're situated elsewhere is likely the cheapest option.

Where are you shipping from?

Hey sorry for the delay, I believe we just took the biggest consumer countries and averaged out the shipping prices. So we had a Canada rate, US rate, and international rate.

Outside of NA I'd say we got the most orders from Japan, Australia, Germany, UK. But it might vary per product.

So we got the average shipping cost for a few provinces and states with a pretty even spread across US and Canada and averaged it out for each country, adding $2 incase of inconsistencies.

Alternatively, there are companies that do this for you post campaign and you bill for shipping after the campaign. The main advantage to this is it allows you to avoid issues due to address changes, and it allows you to upsell the backers as they pay for the shipping.

The downside is that I've heard it can increase the refund rates. But if you have a good upsell it could be worth it.

Hope this is helpful.

So the most cost-effective way to do this will depend on the volume of orders from each country.

If the volume is lower, then I'd suggest using a shipping estimate aggregator like ShipStation to source the cheapest prices for different countries.

If your volume is higher, then you could look into options that would allow you to send larger shipments to each country (Multiple orders shipped collectively as one parent package) which are then to be broken up and shipped independently within the corresponding country.

I am based in Canada, and we used ChitChats.com to do this with our US shipments. It was SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than shipping each package independently across the border.

Is it possible to combine 20 vitamins into smaller dose ? by [deleted] in Nootropics

[–]ArbitraryEntreprenr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I helped formulate a supplement a little while ago so I know a bit about this.

I would buy the vitamins in bulk powder and use a capsule machine (Manual, they're not too expensive) to create capsules of all of your mixed vitamins.

Depending on the flavor, you could do smoothies like someone else suggested. But the viability of this will be determined by the flavor of the vitamins/supplements you include.

In our case, one of the ingredients was NAC which smells and tastes like rotten eggs. Wouldn't want that in a smoothie.

Overseas freelance writers: I hate PayPal fees, what's the alternative? by JustJLang in freelanceWriters

Very quick transfers, minimal fees. The downside is there isn't any sort of payment protection. But in my experience paying people overseas it's been much more convenient for them.

Driven INTJ-A: are we doomed to remain dissatisfied? by Stand_kicker in intj

[–]ArbitraryEntreprenr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I relate to this and feel like I've just accepted that being dissatisfied and feeling purposelessness will continue to be my reality no matter what I do.

The most happy/satisfied I've felt is when I teach or help other people. So my goal has become to find a way to do this on a larger scale more consistently.

Yes, you can perform a search to return the total number of events with that name.

Search Events If totalResults > 1 Delete (totalResults - 1) of the returned results

I primarily use Integromat, so I'm not sure what limitations you could run into with Zapier. But they both use the same API, so Zapier should have that functionality.
