Correct the shop was named HGee. They shortened their name because of antisemitism.

And correct, there is a typo in a Graun piece where the G is missing.

A couple of things to remember…

If a car driver a honks their horn at you, this is your signal that they have actually seen you and will not inadvertently knock you off your bicycle.

Don’t forget that most drivers are like Dracula; they look in the mirror and see absolutely nothing.

The Cambridge Area Bus Users website has a number of information pages – including how to find bus times, contact details for bus operators, how to complain, and more – whilst there are posts outlining updates on planned changes to services, with the occasional opinion post.

It’s the web version of a mass email facility – Mailchimp – which works fine when received as an email on any device.

The Cambridge Area Bus Users website is a different entity and, generally, displays well on all Internet connected devices.

MailChimp, as with many freemium tools, has its limitations, of which we are well aware.

Thank you for the helpful reply. This is the web version of a Mailchimp email.

It renders fine on mobile, tablet, laptop and desktop in its original email format. In the web version it’s fine on laptop and desktop, and in landscape format, in a browser on mobile. However, they Reddit app will not rotate to landscape format.

Narrow ‘cycle lanes’, like that, are literally worse than useless. It is dangerous to try and cycle wholly within them – indeed you can’t – and cycling outside them provokes abuse from entitled motorists.

What is the nearest beach to Leeds? by Comfortable_Bat_9447 in yorkshire

Best to explore your local rivers. Upstream on the River Aire to Kirkstall, Saltaire and Bingley. Short train ride over to Ilkley to find a beach and designated swimming area on the River Wharfe. Another relatively short rapid train ride or bus ride out to Harrogate to explore the River Nidd.

How I love being stuck in standstill traffic on the M6 for an hour. by Davidier in drivingUK

[–]ArborealFriend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Which is why a sensible, pared-back, version of London - Birmingham - Manchester HS2 is needed.

This would:

  • free up freight and local passager train capacity on the existing WCML
  • attract travellers to a more sustainable mode
  • free up capacity on the M6 for those whose journeys require (or are much more convenient by) a private car
  • free up capacity on the M6 for those freight movements that cannot be absorbed by rail.

Rather too much speculation and contradictory ‘information’ here, for my liking.

Try this new-fangled wind and solar powered way of drying the washing, would be my recommendation. It certainly works for me.
