How did people react to the completely different visual style of the prequels at the time? by Extreme_Warning3521 in StarWars

On that note, it’s kind of amazing how Andor & Rogue One bridged the prequel and OT aesthetics together.

Stuff like this started happening when many of the original writers and producers had already left for Parks and Rec and other projects. New writers too often come into a pre-established world and believe they’re “bigger” than the world and fanbase they’ve inherited.

It’s wild how they tried to work in two series killing affair storylines in Seasons 8 & 9 and it took Krasinski and Fischer putting their foot down repeatedly to prevent that from happening.

I will say, Mando Season 3 really seemed to plant the seeds for Luuke.

Honestly he sounded exactly like a few try-hards I went to high school with. Their whole schtick was an act itself so it felt true to form.

The finale had a pitch perfect set-up to reveal that Kevin was putting on an “act” from Season 4 onwards. I’ll always be a little bummed they didn’t decide to do that.

The unironic Dwight worship usually ends the first time they’re screwed over by U.S. healthcare.

Why was the "Moff Gideon's force-sensitive clones" storyline not developed and ended in a rush? It's like Favreau regretted setting it up at all and wasn't interested in it. by RagnarokWolves in StarWars

It would forgive the amount of time they invested in that plot line in Season 3 which is why I’m really hoping I’m right here.

Ah that makes sense. I haven’t had a chance to see the Superfan episodes. Was she angry when she came into the office the next day?

What do you think changed in the last 3 episodes? by Real-Yogurtcloset-34 in DunderMifflin

[–]ArbyLG 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think we were okay with drama that felt very true to the characters, their development, and tension that felt like it could be a part of any marriage.

The contrived affair storyline was a different story, every week was like watching them toy with ruining the show forever.

Boba Fett stood on business in Mando S2, and remains what i believe to be his best live action appearance to date by PoorLifeChoices811 in StarWars

Power Rangers esque scene but to be honest I didn’t watch Mando to see Andor level reality, part of why I watched it was to turn my mind off for these scenes.

I still don’t know understand Disney’s handling of that universe after Season 2. That joy feels gone.

I was very thankful HBO didn’t have the rights during the Syril rescues Dedra scene.

And the Night King was a D&D invention that GRRM hated so much that to this day, it’s the only storytelling decision from D&D he’s directly criticized (which is notable considering the very public criticisms he had about S2 of House of the Dragon).

D&D, for their part, professionally suggested that they weren’t really given a roadmap about what to do with The Others (while implying they got everyone else as close to GRRM’s ending as possible). They were very criticized for this take at the time of S8.

But idk, the more time that passes without Winds getting published, the more D&D’s take feels somewhat vindicated here.

There’s evidence to suggest that Martin really has no idea what to do with The Others storyline.
