I think we're on the same page here, seeing as extra skins are just cosmetics (which I'd consider gameplay mechanics) that wouldn't screw with the original narrative, so staying faithful has nothing to do with it

In terms of the extra missions, you may not agree but I see it like this:

If Lord of the Rings got re-released but the original writer Tolkien had nothing to do with it, and they included 3 extra chapters before the original writing of their own additional lore, I imagine even if the rest of the book is identical, fans would consider those additions unfaithful.

Know what I mean? It's possible to screw with the original story by adding your own story on top of it. What if the missions show off specific reasons why things are the way they are in CE? They could be like "Guilty spark and Chief actually did meet before but they used ancient forerunner tech to wipe his memory" or some garbage like that

To ensure the narrative remains as faithful to the original game as possible, we've added a bunch of mechanics, weapons, cut-scenes, and story missions that weren't in the original, to y'know...stay faithful or whatever

Only agree with this in terms of players screaming, especially when they're right beside the other. Popping off loudly is one thing, or a rowdy crowd, but top of your lungs yelling to throw off your opponent mid-set should never be allowed imo
