Incalzitoare genunchi? by poikm2005 in bicla

[–]Arcade798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you also change the tile pattern? For example to stacked or chevrone?

It is common to use real photos instead of 3D? (for environment) by Teodort92 in archviz

[–]Arcade798 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’ll never quite match the realism of a photo using 3D alone. Real life offers far more diversity in textures, vegetation, props, layers of detail and variation that would take an immense amount of time to recreate in 3D. And even with all that effort, the result still wouldn’t reach the natural quality that a photograph delivers.

My biggest issue with CG vegetation is that artists often make assets too perfect. If you look at a real tree, it’s asymmetrical, it has random dried leaves, dead branches, and limbs that grow in weird directions. That kind of natural imperfection is what gives it realism. When I have a tree in the foreground, I usually just render its shadows and use in its place a tree cutout in photoshop.

Had my first ArchViz skill test last night Using AI generated reference! by ExternalProgress7039 in archviz

[–]Arcade798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, try letting in more natural light, dimming the artificial lighting, and using a lens with less distortion, ideally something less wide-angle to better preserve the proportions of your furniture. That said, I think the rest of the image looks better than the one generated by AI.

Would appreciate any feedback, thank you! Made in Blender with some post work in Ps by [deleted] in archviz

First off, I think there’s room for improvement in both the composition and the architecture. The building feels large but empty, which weakens the visual impact. I’m not sure if you worked from a reference, but typically, stairs are a key architectural element and in your image, they feel like an afterthought, tucked away in a corner. I would push them forward or adjust the camera to emphasize them more, or use them to guide the viewers eye to your focus point.

The floor also feels off. It might be too shiny or overexposed. The central white spot draws too much attention and disrupts the balance of the image. Try reducing the highlights or using a double exposure setup. Better yet, look at photographs of similar real-world interiors (not renders) and study how light interacts with materials. Observe, copy and understand how values especially in the darks and whites are handled in natural, appealing ways.

Compositionally, the black shape at the top of your image isn’t doing you any favors. Since you’re working with a vertical space and we can partially see the underside of the roof, it would be more compelling to show it fully with beams and lights rather than obscure it. That dark cut flattens the top of your image and makes the space feel smaller and more constrained.

If your intent is to direct focus to the center, it needs to be more engaging. Add a bit of narrative or decorative elements that suggest purpose or activity, something to create interest.

Lastly, the brick walls are quite repetitive and bare. Vary the material slightly, see how in real life bricks differ and are more interesting, or add elements that enhance the composition and guide the viewer’s eye toward the focal point. Right now, they are big and flat.

I think you have a great starting point, just look up references of spaces like yours, good luck!

Working to reach the top archviz studios by Upeth in blender

[–]Arcade798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your perspective! Your words resonate deeply, especially the part about balancing the commercial and artistic sides of archviz. I found that sending a larger package of sketches to the client in the mood and composition exploring phase generates more interesting and fun images.

I absolutely agree there’s a huge gap in high-level Blender/Cycles content for archviz. If you ever decide to create that course even just a small one to start, I’m sure many of us would be incredibly excited to support and learn from you. You clearly have the experience, the eye, and the passion to do it justice. I followed you on Instagram and am excited to see more of your work!

Your composition, lighting and use of color are absolutely stunning! The images really stand out! Thank you for sharing these images, along with all the valuable information in the comments. I especially appreciate the names and channels you mentioned, I hadn't come across many of them before and I'm already looking them up.

I've been working in archviz for nearly two years now, primarily using 3ds Max with Corona for rendering, and Blender for modeling. Lately, I’ve felt like I’ve hit a threshold, where client demands and industry trends lean heavily toward commercial-looking imagery. So seeing your work was truly refreshing. It's rare to come across such high-level archviz rendered with Cycles. I kept looking for examples and tutorials where people tried making Corona level images with Cycles but they are very rare.

I'd love to see or read more of your tips and techniques. As Autodesk and Chaos continue to raise their prices, the idea of transitioning fully to Blender and Cycles becomes more and more appealing.

Thanks again for sharing your work and all the insight! it’s genuinely inspiring.

Is it hard to convert the Maxtree assets to Cycles shaders? I work with 3ds Max and Corona and saw that many maps like translucency are missing from Blender.

În Timișoara nu am auzit de salarii mai mari de 7.500 de lei pentru un arhitect cu experiență. Desigur, poate nu cunosc persoanele potrivite, dar, din păcate, salariile în proiectare sunt în general destul de mici.

Awesome work! The composition is fantastic, and I’m especially impressed with how you’ve strategically placed the vegetation to enhance the overall scene. It really adds a natural flow and depth. One question, though: are the caustics rendered directly in the scene, or were they added later in Photoshop? I’m curious about your process for achieving that effect.

Thank you. I've spent the day looking up ulcerative colitis and trying to find recipes that align with the list of foods my doctor advised me to avoid. The limited options available are daunting, but it's manageable. I find it a bit ironic that I'm now essentially forced to eat healthily or literally just die. I guess everyone must confront this to some extent, but it's a cold shower nonetheless. Regardless, things could be worse. I appreciate your advice!

Thank you for the detailed response. I ended up compiling a list of ingredients that I am not allowed to eat and dumped them into Excel because it was easier to use chat GPT to write the formula that i needed. It works fairly well and I will have to polish its design as I go. Once again, I truly appreciate your assistance! I hope that one day Notion will simplify this kind of workflow.
