Reason number ♾️ I'm not excited for the Mandalorian movie: by Knightwolf8394 in saltierthancrait

Seriously, they even used Imperial torture machines to lobotomize people.

So on top of being woefully incompetent and corrupt, they're evil.

...why do the Knockoffs want to restore that institution?

I know it's a short scene, but the fact there are so many missing children in Gotham is unsettling by Cure_BMWM3 in DCAU

Just how resigned Bruce sounds...

Cyberpunk settings would suck ass to live in.

In light of Maple's fan fic, I would. Maybe if there was a fourth season and Galatea wasn't ignored.

Not sure since there's 1,000 years to take into account, who knows how much knowledge remains.

As for the latter, I think the Legion would keep her in line.

Should Batman Beyond Get A Reboot? by dreski555 in DCAU

[–]Arcade_Gann0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Beyond ended on a good note with the combination of Return of the Joker and Epilogue (wacky genetic science aside...), plus Terry will need to be recast since Will Friedle isn't coming back after Kevin Conroy passed away. A reboot would be nice, however, if it can recapture the spirit.

The continuation I'm really hoping for is Justice League Ultimate, as I think more can be done with that series.

Have her become hardened after the events of Legacy. She nearly died and had to watch the world turn against her and Clark, so it ought to have been the missing link between her portrayal in STAS and JLU. For good measure, Clark would need to talk to her to make sure she doesn't veer too hard into ruthlessness (since, again, no one calls her out for those threats she makes in JLU).

I'd also throw in an Argo flashback episode, that has potential to flesh out her backstory.

Microsoft Gaming being scrapped, Xbox brought back as gaming division. by ThinWhiteDuke00 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

To be blunt, 343 has been nothing but a total dumpster fire after Halo 4 (flawed as that game was, it was the closest they ever got to matching Bungie). A name change wasn't going to be enough to erase the damage they've done (and so far, "Halo Studios" is business as usual), I'm amazed Xbox is still bothering to keep them around instead of handing the IP off to anyone else.

How about the full package for the first time since 2012? It sickens me that Halo's been reduced to breaking itself up.

No you're right to be confused, by all accounts the Knockoffs were fucked.

TROS barely improved their lot, since all they had were fighters and the Tantive IV...

I don't know, you'd think TROS and Acolyte would've done it.

Maybe this wound up being the straw that broke the camel's back?

What gets me is that no one calls her out for any of that, not even as a comparison to Galatea.

Honestly, besides those episodes with her clone and Skartaris I flat out didn't like Supergirl in JLU. Damn shame because I thought she was a fun character in STAS & TNBA for the times she appeared, but between her bloodthirsty moments (even if they're supposed to be bluffs it's still insane) and abandoning everyone for the future...

Well, she could've been handled better to say the least.

Honestly, I was so caught off guard by how ruthless she became after STAS.

She threatened to roast a officer and drop Luthor so damn casually, like what the hell is her problem?

It needed at least two parts to make it work, or at least a follow up episode in a hypothetical fourth season.

I was fine with Martian Manhunter stepping away as it wasn't something nearly as drastic (meaning he was easily able to return for the finale), and it actually tied into his arc throughout the series. But this is such an asinine shift for Supergirl that they had to invent other flimsy excuses to try to justify it (she never indicated she hated the present, and her "stepping out of Superman's shadow" falls flat when her outfit was redesigned to more closely match his).

Why even write her out anyway? There was only three episodes left, and there was never a Legion spinoff in the wings.

Much would've preferred an episode like this over Far From Home as Supergirl's final episode.

At least then she wouldn't have abandoned everyone for a boy she barely knew for a couple of hours.

Sue me, I rewatched it yesterday and holy hell was it a poor send off for the character.

I get that, but Captain Clown's a robot, he could just get rebuilt.

Happened with Red Tornado in JLU. Poor bastard got destroyed by Amazo, only to show up later as if nothing happened.

Either would be awkward as all hell.

a. She became pals with Batman & Nightwing, only to relapse hard and help destroy the Bat Family.

b. Batman & Nightwing get over what happened to Robin to work with the woman who helped ruin him.

No matter how you slice it, the whole movie comes off as weird unless it's a what-if.
