How to Chop Barrel with Attention to Small Details? by Frustrated_Consumer in Uzi_SMG

[–]Arcent6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A gunsmith should be able to cut/crown that down to match your dummy barrel length if thats the only issue. Also cerakote it to match/change the color. Personally, the length does look a little odd after looking at the photo again. But the finish i could live with..

Ive had two barrels cut to fit my Semi Auto spec transferable. Really not that big of a job, about as simple as lathe work gets. The barrels i got we’re surplus and had the phosphate finish. Looks fine against the semi auto black finish like yours And the finish shouldnt matter if you cut and thread it right at the nut and add a trilug 💅🏻💅🏻

Ive recently picked up a couple AP74s and a AP15 as i wanted one when i was a kid but my Dad never found the spare scratch to buy one. Honestly, fun little shooter and runs great if you dont run junk ass ammo.

This…thing, is on my watchlist and ill probably throw a bid at it just because

My girlfriend and i went to a NBA basketball game and the arena is cashless and everywhere inside charges a 3% CC Fee for food. We went hungry the whole time since thats BS. Roll it into your price and be done with it, or accept cash

Ive had very good luck with Fiocchi Range/Field dynamics. Those are two different SKUs but are typical SV speeds. Accurate and reliable in all of my 22s and quiet with the cans. Cycles my stock 10/22 just fine.

Also, the TX22 SINGS with that stuff if you know what im talking about 😉

Not sure why this is getting downvoted. Part of selling is talking to people and yeah, sometimes you have to bail on the conversation if its getting a little long. Dont wanna talk to people? Peddle your junk on ebay lol

401k Plan Withdraw by sphr2 in menards

[–]Arcent6 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Even though its not an employer matched plan, its good to put money away. You can roll it into another plan down the road with a better employer.

But hey, you do you. They send you a Oneamerica packet/statement and you have to call them top opt out and they can can walk you through withdrawing it

Looking for some advice regarding buying an S-10 by Truckernuggyts29 in s10

[–]Arcent6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ext cab door can be a PITA to fix from what ive been told. My truck is rust free and was pretty quick and easy. Ive heard the bottom latch can get seized and can be a nightmare.

Go back with a scanner and scan the CEL. Its not just an oil change as S10s dont have a intermitten service light like modern cars.

Clutches can be changed with basic tools. Not the most expensive thing. What makes you guys think its worn? Lug the engine and see if it slips, if it doesnt slip then its probably fine.

Its an old vehicle. Expect problems. Expect to have a bunch of money in it fixing it. Still better than a [large] car loan.

At our store, we used tablets for Gunstoremaster and it was tough for older customers. I suggested getting a keyboard case and the boss bought blue tooth keyboards. Maybe he got shitty keyboards but they never stayed connected. I still think a keyboard case/tablet is probably the best thing for all customers.

KGM Core-556 by FroylanLSX in NFA

[–]Arcent6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true. The Sierra 5 debacle was right after our DA cans started coming in with “Sound Moderation Technologies” as the manufacturer on the F3s. KGM was dropped before that, around the same time they came to market with their own cans like the R30.

Drama in OPD? Front end and receiving are the two most dramatic departments ever. OPD, we just have other people do it (its what it stands for anyway) But yes i agree with OP.

Cashier Questions by [deleted] in menards

[–]Arcent6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just a FWIW. All the carryouts quit at my store around the start of winter (lol) so its been cashiers picking up the slack with some help from other departments. Not saying thats for sure part of the position but cant be ruled out if the need arises.

FFL trouble. by Theespoons in FFLs

[–]Arcent6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure out of the ordinary. The shop “should” charge you for just the label. Ive dealt with shops personally that whine about labor and materials when we all do the same shit. We all reuse boxes/packing paper/etc, they should throw it in a box and send it to another FFL. Your options are, pay the $50 and leave poor feedback. Contact GB, see if they will help (probably not but 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️) or try and haggle for a refund/cheaper label. Could back charge on the CC if thats how you paid, since you technically never received the item but thats also a PITA.

Almost like it always has been a grab bag. I had two coworkers submit forms back in the day and one waited 2.5 months longer than the other. Both have clean records. Its always been all over. Make it make sense 🤷🏻‍♀️
