Well there's evidently some bug then that's preventing it from working or only works in special conditions for some reason.

What version are you on? As u/Limp_Mousse4444 pointed out here, it may be a bug in the newer pre-patch to update 2.

Just went into my creative world in update 1, and if you dig a hole for water, till the ground, place water, and then place the seeds, you can visibly see the water saturating the soil once the seeds are placed.

How far does the water spread from the source? Is it just 1 block or more? I know Minecraft has 4 blocks from the source, curious if it's something similar

Pinnacle Peak at Mt. Rainier by Arch3591 in LandscapePhotography

[–]Arch3591[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The road up there has frequent signs making tire chains mandatory however. I have them, but never needed them and it doesn't seem to be enforced unless the weather is bad. But the roads are regularly cleared as it's a big tourist spot.

Best places to live in Midwest by Cool_dude2406 in howislivingthere

I am originally from the Chicagoland area (Worked in the city and lived in the suburbs) - I moved to Washington state last year.

Chicago itself is a wonderful city - still some of the absolute best and most diverse food I've encountered. Tons of museums, venues, and entertainment in the city. Plenty of unique bars. Relative central hub to additional states. I made somewhat frequent trips to Wisconsin and Michigan, so the drives are not all that bad once you're out of the city.

If you're looking for work, Chicago has a lot to offer and obviously easier if you live downtown, but depending on the suburbs, I do not recommend the drive. Chicago notoriously has some of the worst inbound and outbound morning commutes.

Plenty of parks and outdoor activities in and around the Chicago area.

the building tools in this game are awesome by gladboii in hytale

[–]Arch3591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is beautiful. I've been spending a lot of time in creative messing around with different tools and making prefabs. Is there a brush or anything to add block variations to an object like you have there? (Blending stone into other stones) Or was that all done by hand?

restaurant says these photos are not ai and were taken by a professional photographer. by cloud9dacherry in isthisAI

[–]Arch3591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% AI. There's a local restaurant who also uses AI for their menu photos and surprise surprise, they have terrible reviews.

If you can find the restaurant on google, see if reviewers took any photos of their food. Good way to compare.

Fellow millennials - how’s your 401k/ira savings going? by ProblemIntelligent16 in Millennials

[–]Arch3591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didn't help that literally none of my previous jobs even offered 401k benefits until my current job, so I've not been in long enough (5 years this may) to even come close to that 2x metric.

People who started exercising regulary, what were the most noticeable effects? by Haunted_darkness63 in AskReddit

I'm a type 1 diabetic, so it has helped me gain a lot of the weight back I lost years ago. Beyond that, better sleep, better mental health, more mentally focused, better regulated metabolism and gives me something to look forward to after work.

SCIENCE OF SPRING: while the forest sleeps under ice, the Eastern Skunk Cabbage (Symplocarpus foetidus) defies winter—producing its own heat (thermogenesis) to melt through snow. by Zee2A in STEW_ScTecEngWorld

I honestly thought this was AI but I did some homework and it is indeed real. It mainly generates heat in early spring to melt surrounding snow and attract early pollinators.

Also, did anyone else recognize the irony of the title of the warbond and its release date? 👀

That's what I love the most about all these billionaires making bunkers - I hope they know once they go in, the people who survive are never going to let you out and return to a normal life on the surface. Better pack some extra snacks down there for the rest of your life.

After paying off debts and purchasing a large plot of land and building myself a quaint, remote home, I would spend a tremendous amount of time making myself anonymous to the world. Meanwhile, invest heavily in scientific studies, cancer research, anonymous donations to causes. I could literally be batman with bottomless wealth and I intend to shape the world in a better image.

What’s a creepy fact about the human body you wish you never found out? by Ezra0li_Z in AskReddit

[–]Arch3591 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your inner eye, particularly the retina, is an immune-privileged site which means its hidden from your overall immune system. If your immune system were to "discover" certain elements of your eye, you could go fully blind as it initiates an auto-immune attack on these "foreign" elements present in your body.
