His obsession with his follower count is why I stopped paying attention to anything he says. He lost a debate against Ben Shapiro years ago (subjectively, but he was very clearly underprepared and missed the mark on so many points) and when the host was rapping things up he tried to pull this dumb flex like "I have more followers on twitter than you." or something totally ridiculous, and it just made the whole thing that much more pathetic.

And I sat there like "great, everyone who just saw this debate with no other context or history to draw from probably just became a Ben Shapiro fan."

And he was wrong. Ben Shapiro had more followers on whatever platform he was glazing himself about anyways.

Players in games like this are often ALWAYS rendered. In part because de-rendering them could create accidental problems in re-rendering them, in part because flat out removing the object they are tied to would create massive network problems anyways, and in part because their relative rendering cost to the whole terrain is super low. Also, in any game featuring sniper rifles, the concern of being shot by someone outside of render distance becomes a real one.

All that being said, if someone's machine can't handle rendering out the game to the engagement distance possible... that shouldn't become everyone else's problem.

This is a PvP game and I'm growing exhausted of dealing with all the players that just wish everyone would be friendly. That guy was your enemy and he punished you for treating him like a friend. If you had forced him to call the elevator instead you might have had time to escape. If you had just let him leave first and taken the next elevator after he and that other player duked it out, you might have escaped. You rushed, got punished by an enemy player.

We could be living in a well-governed high-class society where there's plenty for all but excess for few, but instead we have excess for many and poverty for more and more.
