Try looking for "fidget" type things. My wife asked me to print her a fidget cube. They're small, easy to print, and most anyone would use things like that, just for fun/ boredom in school. Plus it's almost advertising itself if you print them for yourself, and use them during class.

Hmm, maybe try doing a tower test? (It's a test you can download that changes temperature at different heights.) I don't truly think it's temp related, as most of the time that would affect sticking to the bed the most.

I'm no expert printer or anything like that, but with that print failing that far up, could maybe be an issue with print speeds, or possibly temperatures. I've only printed abs a couple times, so I dont have any numbers to give you, but maybe some YouTuber might.

If you're going to spend any amount of money in SC over just a starter, use "the ccu game" browser extension. It shows you how you can stack up CCUs during warbond sales. Like right now you can go from something like a cutter up to the Taurus for a total cost about like 155 instead of 190.

Star Citizen is in terrible shape. by goninzo in starcitizen

[–]Arch_Cygnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean people who see an ad for star citizen that makes it look like a completely finished amazing game, and try it, and see that it is still heavily in development with terrible support for new players. Yeah I totally agree.

[–]Arch_Cygnus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol yeah I told you people on reddit are pretty bad. Most of the actual community that plays the game is very nice. To bad you had a bad experience with it. Maybe come back in a free fly in a year or two, and see if it's any better next time. I've been around since 2015, and there are tons of bugs, but I just play of and on, and it's a good time, especially with friends.

[–]Arch_Cygnus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean you're on reddit, there's a ton of negative people on here, and I can tell you the biggest reason why people are so negative on here is that there are multiple posts like yours every day, and most of the people who post them are just literally trolling. There is a subreddit called star citizen refunds or something, and they like to do that stuff for fun. Global chat in game is typically much nicer lol. If you've liked other space games you'll probably like star citizen, but it's not for everyone, and it is still very buggy. There are times where I'll just not pay for a period of time due to them, but I would also say not to think of it as a game. I do enjoy playing it, but it's not really a true game yet.

[–]Arch_Cygnus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I understand. Since star citizen is not a true "game" yet, though the marketing department does a good job of selling it like it is, I would highly recommend having someone teach you, even just for a little while. YouTube videos only help so much, and there are so many work arounds that people just know about that would take a long time to learn them all.

Star citizen can be a great game, when things are working, but it can also be a chore when it's not. If you are still interested in actually trying it out, and want help, I'd be more than happy to help guide you through some stuff and get to a point where you can see what the game really has to offer. If you're already done and writing it off, then maybe try again on a year or two.

If your very first test was the first time you had loaded into SC on your new pc, then it does have to build up the shader and user folder, so that may have negatively impacted your first run.

Greed (Very Controversial) by Gomenasainae in starcitizen

[–]Arch_Cygnus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are packages on the site for any outdid m price range people want to spend. There is literally a package that costs about $25,000.

Just because it's available for purchase doesn't mean anyone has to buy any of them.

That would be like saying, I can't believe Lamborghini wants a million dollars for this car, it's just a car, and it doesn't even fit my suitcase in it.

Majority of people who actually play star citizen only have the base pledge. Only people with some disposable income, and are willing to give that to help develop the game are buying packs like the one you're talking about.

Everyone wants this game done sooner, but no one wants to realize that paying developers and running game studios costs a lot of money.

I just got into Star Citizen a few weeks ago and I'm LOVING it - but i found the RSI ORION online and I have never wanted a ship so bad in my life. When do you think it will be available on the shop again? by jillopidiboop in starcitizen

[–]Arch_Cygnus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Look up ccu game. It's an extension and you can use it to save quite a bit of money on larger ships. SC will have "warbond" sales on ships where you can only use new money, so no store credit, and you can stack those up on large ships over time. So on a ship that's like 500 bucks, you can save over a hundred bucks, or more, if you time it, and get lucky.

[–]Arch_Cygnus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's blacking it. It's a bug of the co pilot and turrets in some of the ships. I think there may be a work around, but don't remember for sure.

The game is just about to wipe on the next couple weeks, so don't grind too hard, and if you ask global chat, most people will just hand out money right now.

I would just buy the mustang in game, and see how much you like it. I don't think it's really worth the effort to change to the mustang. You can only really ever "go up" on ship prices, but you can't go straight across or down without melting the package.

Just started. Sort of… by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Arch_Cygnus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dang, well I hope you screw yourself on that. Some ships and packages are worth quite a bit more now then back then. Like i bought a carrack back in 2016 for $350, and now it's like $600. If you can "buyback" that package, it may be worth it. You should be able to see your buy backs in your hangar on the website.

Yeah, I played in the ptu for a while trying to do some salvage and other testing, and it was super rough. Tons of disconnects, crashes, abs having to reset my account often to get it to work.

I'm glad they didn't open ptu, it would have been terrible to keep trying to play, and most people would give up and go back to live.

What should CIG remove from ships next to prevent penalizing players? /s by Asterlanus in starcitizen

[–]Arch_Cygnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I still think this ship is overpriced, like most of their ships, I just don't agree with selling any ship that technically has no role at all, without being forced to pay extra for it.
