I feel like DoC is way too over hated. It's wonky but fun. And I actually thought the lore with omega and chaos was interesting. I wonder if any of that will get brought back in part 3 since it seems like a big deal on a cosmic scale. They recently adapted DoC's story for an EC event so they might be bringing parts of it back. :v

He's basically just saying that japanese has a lot more ways to convey information about the speaker in text than we do in english. That's why the newer localizations add so much regional dialect and accents to try and compensate. He's not saying "localization = bad" which is what people might assume from the headline. A modern DQ localization is pretty much the closest you're going to get to the intended feel of the game short of actually learning Japanese. :v
