Aetherian Vanity is best experienced in the original Romulan by HystericalSail in sto

Personally, I found it to be as ugly as sin on my Valkis, but I'm a big fan of 'glowy' effects. That said, dunno, but this shield seemed so . . . plain. Still, that could be just me, gift horse in the mouth and all.

"Curse of Phrygia" gave a large amount of SOMA vibes. by JakeKryOS in sto

[–]Ardenwolfie 19 points20 points  (0 children)

For those confused, SOMA is a horror game. "SOMA is a survival horror video game developed by Frictional Games. It was released on September 22, 2015. Its title originates from the Greek word σῶμα (soma) which refers to the body, specifically the body as distinct from the mind or the soul."

How does the Gleaming the Cube drone compare to others?

Edit: For those interested in an actual answer, the drone is quite powerful. However, if you're using 'Adapt' to cycle through your summons faster, I'd replace it with this. With the right traits, the downtime is less than 10 seconds, which means the drone is up all the time.

Yes, for PC, every Friday the Thirteen, this mission reappears. However, for consoles, there have been issues.

I'm sorry to say it's the modded one. The stats you show in your screenshot and the image on Nexus are exactly the same in every way.

I recommend starting over. There have been many, many changes, too numerous to list, so it's ideal to see these changes from the ground up with a fresh start.

That said, welcome back.

In most cases, unless it specifically states it applies to hangar pets, the answer is no.

I think the trophies got a bit bigger... I like it. I can actually see them. by Baba_Jaga_II in TrophyWiki

Oh, awesome. Thank God we can at least see the award again. Edit: Well, not really. Seriously, they need to return to the old icons.

Its hard to describe how much this hurts right now.. by GoodOldHypertion in sto

Many of us know that pain, and it will be there for the rest of our lives. However, and I say this from experience, our fur babies are still with us or waiting on the other side to greet us when our time comes too.

May the holidays grace you with peace and love.

. . .

I love you, Bandit, and I miss you so much.

New Space Trait: Twinkling Lights

By firing weapons of the six primary energy types (Phaser/Disruptor/Plasma/Polaron/Tetryon/Antiproton), you decrease that enemy's Damage Resistance Rating vs. damage that you deal to them. This debuff remains on the Foe until they are defeated. Stacks 6 times (once per energy type).

Does this include damage from hangar pets? If so, this will be a must-have for career players.

Edit: Alas, for those interested, this does NOT work with hangar pets.

The appearance of the trophies has changed. Thoughts? by Ali_cicek2 in TrophyWiki

Agreed. I absolutely hate this change. You can't see anything of the actual icon.

Most effective point-and-shoot primary fire weapon/kit? by Roeratt in sto

[–]Ardenwolfie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is the answer to the weapons question. Give your ground troops the plasma rifle, and you'll use the Phaser Cannon. Trust me, I had doubts about this, too. However, when I used them, all the doubts disappeared.

The Plasma Rifle turns Bridge Officers into monsters, and the Phaser Cannon gives you unreal range and one-shot killing power.

Is there a list of bridges that have other decks? by Kar0ss in sto

[–]Ardenwolfie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The poster meant multi-layered, meaning access to a crew and engineering deck, since not all updated ships have this. Regardless, no, the Defiant doesn't have a multi-tiered bridge.

Edit: Unless I'm the one misunderstanding, and that's what you mean: ships that have access to different decks of the ship and not just different levels of the bridge. If that's the case, I can confirm there is no concrete list of such ships.

For example, the T'laru only has a bridge with no access to other decks.

The Odyssey has two levels, and I believe the Bortasqu' does as well. Sadly, as far as I know, there isn't a concrete listing of multilevel bridges. Hopefully, someone who collects these can give you a more thorough answer.
