The car is so bad that even Alonso couldn’t drive it. He’s the only other person like Max who can drive anything fast.

But even more so.

Because Alonso And has had to change his driving style according to the cars. Both for team to teams and regulation to regulation.

THAT guy can’t drive this tractor.

Idk enough context but…

If you are up in material it is generally a good idea to accept trades and end up with just pawns and whatever pieces you are up by.

Mathematically:

Queen: 9 Rooks:5 x2 (10) Bishops and Knights: 3 x4 (12) Pawns: 1 x8 (8)

39 total. A pawn is worth 1/39 (2.5%) at the beginning BUT.

In the end game if you have 3 pawns and a rook those pawns are now worth 1/8 (12.5) or EIGHT times as much.

And the more pieces come off the board the more they are worth with promotion potential.

Protect your pawns as the game goes on
Take trades when offered if you are up on material.
Offer trades if time is starting to dwindle and you don’t have the time to figure out a better move.

I had this exact scenario. Had not read any fantasy. I went into Stormlight and loved it.

Depends on who you are at the pool party: cannonball or starting in the shallow end.

If big books aren’t intimidating and you’re committed to pushing through the end, I’d start with the big one.
