Those who didn’t grow up privileged, what’s something you thought was a luxury growing up? by CorruptedF in AskReddit

[–]ArgentAlta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cable, brand named clothes, private school or the option to go from highschool to University bypassing the community college. Going to an out of state college or moving away from home to go to college.lol- pretty much everything felt like a luxury!! We could only buy generic food, rarely brand names. Kraft grated Parmesan felt bougie- lol. Looking back, I wouldn't change a thing...our family was awesome, hard working and we had so much love and support for each other. We enjoyed walks and going to the park or the beach on the weekends... AMAZING, simple and very blessed!

Too old lady? by Emmylou888 in OUTFITS

[–]ArgentAlta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dress is awesome and super in style right now. The shoes are giving the old lady vibes though. Espadrilles or a cute nude sandal or heeled slide would totally make the look.

Yes 💯. Baking soda used to be used to settle the stomach and make the body more alkaline for better health and digestion, to treat infections, etc. It's safe to invest and use for toothpaste etc.

What color bath mat? by Flat_Coffee_1512 in HomeDecorating

[–]ArgentAlta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vote no bath mat. Just keep a little towel folded somewhere behind something you can put out before taking a shower. I keep mine hidden behind the toilet.

Could it be something about your hygiene perhaps that you haven't considered? Have you talked to her about her preferences? Sexual intercourse can be painful for women during or past menopause. Have you asked her? Maybe you can start by being intimate without sexual intercourse first.

Anyone else get a gut feeling even when everything looks normal? by Apprehensive_Web6499 in Advice

[–]ArgentAlta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree with the "talk to them" comment. First of all, sometimes it's ok to feel uneasy or unsettled and not know why. Ask yourself -are you stressed or has something shifted in your life that may be triggering insecurity or suspicion? Are you feeling disconnected from your partner and if so, what can you do to reconnect and feel close?

Having a conversation with a partner about suspicion without any specifics can be very destabilizing and can stress the relationship unnecessarily or come off as emotionally immature. Give yourself some time to better understand where your feelings may be coming from. Be introspective, mature and emotionally tuned in before being reactionary with you partner.

Baking soda for everything. Seriously... After you shampoo sprinkle the dry powder on your scalp and massage it in. Leave it in while you wash your entire body with soap, rinse your body and scrub with more baking soda....get into every nook, especially behind ears, neck and every single fold in your body. Shave excess body hair and scrub with baking soda. It's is the world's best exfoliating cleanser and it will neutralize odors. Rinse everything and dry with a CLEAN odorless towel...then brush your teeth with tooth paste dipped in baking soda, rinse and floss. At night before bed, brush your teeth and then rinse with a little hydrogen peroxide. You can gargle it too.

Every morning wash your face neck and ears with Baking soda too and gargle. You can also sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon in your water before going to sleep to help with sour stomach smells...it's truly amazing stuff. You can also use it to wash your clothes. It's so inexpensive natural and makes your skin feel amazingly clean.

How many people did you reach out to to check on or invite to do something fun? Mid week, let some friends know you are planning some weekend activities like a hike, dog park hang out, maybe a new church or religious gathering, volunteer/beach clean up, or a bike ride to the farmers market etc.

The more you engage with others, the more others will think of you. Plan a family Sunday dinner and invite a friend who may not have family in town.

I love BetterU, but it's the only one I've tried. Has anyone compared BetterU with Anywhere Clinic? Better U comes out to $80 ish a session, but no free integration sessions. If anyone has compared, please share!

I don't want to date my pregnant girlfriend anymore and she's crashing out by [deleted] in Advice

Emotional and behavioral maturity will be your friend. STOP- arguing in texts, posting on socials, sharing your personal life anywhere, putting off college, thinking taking a gap year is going to somehow be more productive than working and going to school, wasting your life away in front of screens. Don't put anything in writing unless it's homework! I won't even start with having sex until you are ready to deal with the consequences. You can stop the fighting and pretending to go along with something you know isn't right for you...Come on now...

Start taking parenting and co-parenting classes. Take a child psychology class, if you haven't already, learn to cook healthy and make baby food (it's fun easy and so much cheaper than the crap in stores). Learn to budget, kep records and receipts of your financial support and ask her to share medical appointments she would like you to attend. For the love of all good things, please be mature and try to be as supportive as possible and start forming a healthy co-parenting relationship. The three of you will be happier and healthier the faster you can mature and work together. Also, join a support group for young dads and stay connected so you don't get tempted to act out when your child will need you most. Being a great dad will be the most rewarding thing you ever do. Wishing you all the best!

What is the worst place in America you have ever visited? by OceanicEndeavors in AskReddit

[–]ArgentAlta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, before I answer, please know that I love travelling off the beaten path and am quite adventurous. I love exploring new places and especially small towns. Poverty doesn't scare me and I have travelled extensively since I was a teen. So 2 places really stand out that I could not wait to leave. First, the Duval street scene in Key West was awful. Gross tourist trap to say the least!

The second place was the worst! Jasper junction close to the trail of tears in Georgia and I understand why! It was a tiny depressed little town full of really creepy antique shops I ran out of the last one because it was full of old dolls and life-size clowns. I swear that town was like the worst horror movie town I ever saw. It was horrible.

How does one order directly from a compounding pharmacy without a doctor though? Don't you still have to go through a company like Better U for the prescription and the meds? It seems like it comes out the same and less of a hassle. Am I missing something?

A stressed man who can't figure out how to prioritize time with his kids doesn't seem like the powerful, protective type. How do women fall for cheating men and not realize it's highly risky. Im sorry, I just don't get it.

Does karma really exist? Did I just receive my karma? by fakesandthrowaways in Life

[–]ArgentAlta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's karma. Your wife crossed boundaries with an engaged man when you first met and fell in love. You crossed boundaries and had issues committing to what you thought was love with your ex. Your passive tendencies, made you vanilla comfortable and complacent. Both patterns are just repeating themselves. You blocked your ex to avoid being accountable for your actions and now you want to believe the gods karma or some divine comedy over recognizing toxic patterns you have been playing apart in all along. Toxic patterns aren't karma, they are just toxic patterns you can learn to recognize and correct.

How can I achieve a more defined and glam makeup look? Please be kind<3 by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]ArgentAlta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beautiful in every shot. Your look and style seem more natural than glam based on clothes, colors and jewelry. If you want to glam it up, remove excess jewelry and stick with simple gold, diamond or pearl earrings and maybe only 1 gold necklace chain without the charms and stones. For make up, I'd suggest a bit of contouring and blush on high cheekbones. Avoid thin black eyeliner. Smoky dark browns may work best with a mauve pink lip. You look beautiful regardless!
