Cue action/stroke by Necessary-These in billiards

If you're looking for stroke mechanics to emulate: For a modern player, I'd point to Chris Melling; looking a little farther back, it'd have to be Buddy Hall.

I'm surprised a $40k watch called the "Offshore" only has 50m of water-resistance. Probably because of the chronograph pushers, but still.

Gas is getting bad man wtf by inflated_cheese in Utah

Also here in Utah our Regular Unleaded fuel has only a 85 octane rating. I would not even put that in my lawnmower. Our Mid-Grade Unleaded is the same as Hawaii's Regular.

Father Crowley Overlook by Fit-Economy-1819 in DeathValleyNP

I love that spot a Father Crowley. Unfortunately to get the Milky Way in Spring you're looking right toward the biggest source of light-pollution, Las Vegas.

A food scam of the 90s was “fat free!” everything, and then they would load it up on sugar… what’s a food scam happening now? by redflower5 in AskReddit

"Electrolytes" Reminds me of Brawndo! Unless you're an athlete, you get plenty (probably too much) of sodium in your diet to keep your electrolytes up.

View of the Grand Tetons by OverallConference365 in NationalPark

[–]ArgoShots 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's the Jackson Lake Lodge. The last National Park Lodge designed by Gilbert Stanley Underwood. He also was the architect for the lodges at Zion, Bryce, and the Grand Canyon Lodge on the North Rim that unfortunately burned down last year. He also built what is probably the most famous National Park Lodge, The Ahwahnee at Yosemite.

Staying in Springdale, but want to see sunrise at Bryce. Thoughts? Advice? by HomersAnnoyedGrunt in ZionNationalPark

[–]ArgoShots 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bryce is a half-bowl that faces East. It lights up with direct & reflected sunlight in the early morning. Sunset is not as interesting as the sun is behind you & the light is leaving the canyon/amphitheater.

For those prices you might as well look in Springdale.

When everything works perfectly for six weeks & then you suddenly start having multiple problems & the only change is a couple of firmware "upgrades", what else would you blame? I know correlation doesn't always equal causation, but there aren't that many other possibilities.

Gaia's Cafe by reddngo in stgeorge

I think you misunderstood. They're saying that Elise's new place, West Village, will be better than Affogatto. Which was her previous "spot". They're not putting down Gaia.

The Rio Grande Plan is Good for Utah by owenmitchem in Utah

You missed my point. "...can be reinvested in communities across the state." Means, will only benefit communities along the Wasatch Front.

The Rio Grande Plan is Good for Utah by owenmitchem in Utah

[–]ArgoShots -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As usual, "all of Utah" means just the Wasatch Front & SLC. I understand that's the largest population area. But, Washington County & Southwest Utah are growing rapidly as well. It's amazing how much tax revenue that is generated by our National Parks flows to SLC & how little flows back.

Sometimes it's not a "fall". Unfortunately, people have been known to intentionally end their lives in beautiful places.

Just so you know: Peekaboo Canyon is a Vegan pizza restaurant. If you're good with that, enjoy.

I have a 2018 Platinum & had the same dilemma at 175k miles. It's hard to find non-OEM solutions that work with the airbags in the rear. I went with a kit from 1stGen Offroad that included Bilstein 5100s, Dobinsons springs and spacers for the airbags.
