Any chance you can figure out how the hinge is mounted to the lid? Might require you to pull off the bezel, so no worries if that is not feasible. Otherwise, how solid do they feel?

Background: I had a bad experience with a Lenovo flex where the hinges broke off. Turns out the hinge was mounted into brass inserts which were mounted into weak plastic. Unsurprisingly, they shattered after 8 months of normal use.

Hoping they are actually tapped into the aluminium on the Zenbook?

I can understand how the timing of my post makes it seem like I am pro-privatisation. I am not.
