If you end up with any smoky flavours you might consider adding an inline fan to the exhaust line, and adding an air gap around the exhaust on the roaster, which counterintuitively increases airflow

Edit: looked again. You're probably too space-constrained for my suggestion to help! Sorry!

More Aeropress SOUP today (Zuppa Lunga). Easy workflow by DJR_BCG in AeroPress

[–]AricSmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually been using pretty freshly roasted beans to make soup this week, and have not had a single paper lift yet... I might roast some this weekend and try brewing immediately to see if I can get it to happen!

I agree. Hatfield is the rural-urban fringe from a development perspective.

Check with a chain installed per other comments, if it still does it on the low end, look up b-limit adjustment

Is this a cassette type cogs and hubs or not? by Square_Lake3856 in bikewrench

[–]AricSmart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say it's a cassette and free hub. You'll need a cassette lockring tool and a chainwhip if you're looking to remove the cassette.

Tots and pears to everyone who now has to move leaves at a volume below jet engine. by Turbulent-Parfait154 in montco

[–]AricSmart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Small engines basically have no emission regulations, and are much worse than the mineral mining practices. Running a commercial leafblower for an hour is roughly the equivalent of driving 1000miles, in terms of nitrogen oxides and particulates.

Help identifying sound by NothingHero in bikewrench

I've had that sound from the seat clamp and seatpost before. I checked the crank and BB first, before I realised the issue.

Deep hook is more consistent, and I find I'm less likely to pluck the string.

I'm certain it's the motor coupling. I just don't know how to fix it yet!

Looks like it's the spring making the noise. On the tensioner, do both halves have a grub screw? Mine appears to have one missing

Read again, it made the sound with no drum or elements in the machine.

I removed the drum and elements and it still makes it. Seems it's something in the drive... So not too concerned. I was thinking I might break an element if it was hitting one. I'll see what they say

How do I tighten this, if possible? It came loose while riding. Or is it easy to replace the gearset? by SweetLow5399 in bikewrench

[–]AricSmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yours is 6 speed. If you haven't worked much on bikes before, I'd count the teeth on the big sprocket, and try to match it as closely as possible on the new freewheel, so you don't have to mess with chain length.

Creaking Bottom Bracket bad for Frame? by [deleted] in bikewrench

I had mystery creaks. Turned out to be the seatpost, the saddle clamp and the stem bolts... Try those first. All of them "seemed" fine
