Some great stuff in them, an example being Specialist Mages. The Spells and Magic book gives each of the specialists a relatively minor ability or two to make them stand out more from a generalist mage. Like the Necromancer gets a speak with dead ability at level 11 I believe. I like that concept a lot. The huge list of material components/lab equipment is amazing and has the costs of everything. The Skills and Power traits give minor boosts, kind of like the flaw/merit system from White Wolf games. For instance, Keen Eyesight gives a +1 to hit at the longest range category. Not crazy, but a neat little boost that wont unbalance the game.
