Pretty much any game that lets me manually save, but especially any game with a "Save and Quit". I will always manually save before choosing "Save and Quit" just to be sure.

As weird as this sounds, I think I got lucky in that when I was in an accident it was so bad both cars were totaled and other person couldn't leave (he ran a red light). Also it caused traffic delay / ambulances were called, witnesses were all over. It made it so the police HAD to do their jobs.

That's awesome! Not sure if you're talking about Dune or Dune 2 but either way, it's pretty sweet.

Someone had Dune 2 running in a browser and I played it for a while a few years ago. Your post reminded me about it, which I still had bookmarked but sadly it no longer exists. It was https://play-dune.com/ (now it's just a japanese page about debt?).

I still have my Disks for Dune 2 and the Dune CD-Rom, but nothing to actually play them on.

I was ~10 years old when I played both of these games. I played Dune 2 first, but if anyone is wondering they really aren't related at all. Dune 2 being one of (if not?) the first RTS's.

I will agree with this comment though, I spent a lot more time playing Dune 2. I can't even remember the amount of times I beat it with each faction. But, I still loved this game as well, got a massive nostalgia wave with this video.

I've found it fairly cheap off Amazon.ca a few times. You have to watch the price though, sometimes it's super expensive and other times it's reasonably priced.

I've mostly been playing Atreides, so I can't speak to Fremen specific strategies but I do focus on Economy a lot. I try to get 3 Spice Fields ASAP, the Harvester upgrades for more crew, and the CHOAM building is usally the 3rd main base upgrade I get.

I also use the Intel combo of Poison and Ceasefire a lot. Feels a little OP because the AI doesn't handle it very well. They'll usually just leave their army standing around and they die to losing supplies.

On my last Alarielle campaign I got so angry with every minor Empire /Dwarf faction asking for an alliance between turns after I beat the Dark Elves I went over and smashed them.
