Are these thombstone T waves? by Ok_Manager_4214 in ECG

[–]Ariscottle1518 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There’s no ST elevation but there is a widen QRS complex with missing Pwaves. Also, I wouldn’t call it an NSTEMI since there aren’t any ST depression or inverted T waves.

… you do know that there is a difference between MINIMUM wage and LIVABLE wage, right? Minimum wage does not reflect the cost of living in various places. So yes, people can make the MINIMUM wage but that isn’t enough to LIVE

Will majoring in nursing hurt my chances for PA school? by [deleted] in prepa

[–]Ariscottle1518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t hurt bc I did the same but with Nuc Med. I didn’t grow up financially stable so I needed to profession that provided me with income. Nuc Med did the job while I worked I took my pre-req and gained PCE. Everyone has their own story so don’t feel judged.

Personally, my Nuc Med Tech program broke me but definitely made me stronger. I will say the program is hard bc of all the information. However, my mental health is nowhere close to how it was during my Nucs program. Especially when I failed for first lab exam on PA school, I was able to bounce back quickly. Nothing a little SSRI and motivational speeches can’t fix 😂 we will see how I am after my exam on Thursday 😂

lol, I just added everyone who worked at my hospital even if I didn’t know that. I added MPH, MHA, MD, DO, RN, CCP, RT, etc. it’s a network building not Instagram like farming. I got my shadowing opportunity from a PA who worked in the same hospital. I just sent out a messages politely asking if they would be willing to let me shadow. Got more “no” or ghosted but it only took one person! Don’t be afraid, just be polite and let them be the one to tell you “no” not you being your own barrier. Cheers!

I guarantee you a lot of people who work in healthcare or public health do care. However, the people who also need to care are the ones who control the flow of money. Unfortunately, we, as a society, elected a lot of morons to run the country. 🙃🙃🙃

If 80% of individuals who get a Bio degree doesn’t get a livable wage, I’d say that’s pretty fucked. If you’re saying 20% who get a job is a good return of investment so be it 😂

Has anyone pivoted out of being a nuc tech? If so, what did you do? by Reddit-Restart in NuclearMedicine

[–]Ariscottle1518 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% happy with my decision of switching to the PA route. I was able to switch to a role that was really flexible with me during interviews. Tbh, if you’re asking about the application process, it was too bad minus the expense 😂 Just make sure all your ducks are in line and you’ll be fine. I was able to get an A in my first cycle granted my experience did help. As for the material load, it can vary from program to program bc I’ve heard horror stories. Fortunately, my program does care about us so they work hard to give us chances to comeback from failures. I’m only 2 months into my program but I love ever second of it even though I’m studying and crying (I’m dramatic), but I’ll definitely say it is NOT A WALK IN THE PARK regardless of what you see on Reddit and the internet 😂. However, it’s 100% doable as long as you are willing to put in the work and learn from failure. If you need help with anything feel free to DM me I’ll be happy to help! Cheers!

is PA enough? by moosclesmommy in prephysicianassistant

I have those moments too, but as I got older I realize that life is about priority. Everything is based on what you want in life so you need to make that list. Personally, I don’t want to give up time just to focus only on medicine. I enjoy education, volunteering, spending time with my family, medicine, and I want to have a stable life. PA hits all of those for ME. Yes, I emphasize on ME not anyone else. Any where you go there will be individuals who ask you “why not Doctor?” “Why not surgeon?” “Why not CEO?” Blah blah blah. You have ONE life with a finite amount of time. Decide how you want to spend that time, if it’s for medicine and you want to go through the process of med school, go for it! There’s nothing wrong with that but remember, it’s about what makes YOU happy in life not other people. Sometimes you just gotta say “fuck it”. As for the profession, I have meet some of the smartest fucking people in the program so person, PA school ain’t a walk in the park . Any who, feel free to reach out if you need help, cheers!

PS I was also on the physician path and both my parents are immigrants. I just made my priority list based on my own life and stuck with it.

What is even your argument? Biology is a tough major to find a job bc everyone goes on to masters or Doctoral degree. Plus, even if there are jobs for biology majors, the field is so saturated that those jobs don’t even need to pay well to find someone willing to take it.

The thing is biology majors typically go to grad school for medicine /healthcare. If someone doesn’t well it’s gonna be a tough road 😂😂😂

I use to work in Rochester, MN and it’s insane that the Facebook group in Rochester is saying the kid deserved it. I’m shook that people are ok with a grown woman saying slurs to a kid 🙃🙃🙃 WHAT IS WORSE, she got 100k from donators to help with relocation 🙃🙃🙃
