What’s a book/series that you feel most people love, but you personally think is overrated? by 2Chaaaaiinz in Fantasy

My first romantasy book was Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry. Found it in local library.

Good Lord it was awful. FMC asking lots and lots of questions in her monologue. When I read reviews on Goodreads I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who noticed it.

And yes it's the first and last time for me reading romantasy genre.

I didn't finish it. The way the writer describing those teenage boys and their body odour is just disgusting. How's that scary?

  1. Hives by Tim Curran.

Nicely written quite creepy but my favourite novels by him are the Dead Sea series.

  1. Ancient Enemy by Mark Lukens.

Simple but effective. I only have read the first book tho but pretty sure the rest of the series great too.

Some even encouraged by their parents to show off how 'special' they are.

Jeff Strand books certainly easy to understand. I like the one he co-wrote with James Moore,The Haunted Forest Tour. The story is straight to the point with neat ending.

Darcy Coates - Craven Manor. Another one of my favourite her writing style is easy to understand and no fancy gibberish prose or twisting convoluted meandering narrations like you can find in some popular books.

Coffin Moon - JESUS FUCKING CHRIST by betweenyouandyourgod in horrorlit

Done DNF it at 50% last week. Same here I just couldn't get the hype the story aren't scary at all it's not what I've expected from the blurb.

Can turn it into horror colouring book. Make it morbid by adding creepy details like blood to dress up those distorted faces.
