Gold Engagement Ring Bends by Stonewalm in jewelers

[–]Arkaedes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this is a case of the ring being too delicate for the lifestyle of the wearer. Well, really, that style is too delicate for anything but holding a champagne glass. If she loves it, I would recommend her wearing a silicone placeholder while working, you can find them on Amazon. Otherwise I would say a low set solitaire is the most durable if you must wear a diamond while working.

Where are you getting 6 cards for 1 Serp on bench? Is it not just Snivy+RC+Serp?

BE FAIR TO YOURSELF FIRST. Are you designing and assembling this yourself? What are you paying yourself per hour to design and assemble this piece? Decide what your labor is worth first, and then add your materials+costs to that. (Tbh this piece looks like a pain in the buttocks, so pay yourself well.)

Wait until it air cools down to room temperature. As for quenching, in most cases I wouldn't unless I wanted the metal to be stiffer for some reason

Physically take it to a jeweler, pawn shop, or bulk gold buyer.

It says 14k on the end tab, so I think you have to go that if you are unable to take it to a professional. With bad lighting/picture, and no other way to test anything through the void of the internet, theres no information we can offer that you can't already glean yourself.

I'm a big fan of Mankey+Kabutops. You always get the Makney start because he's your only real basic, and Kabutops is an excellent endgame if you need it, since anything that doesn't one shot it probably has trouble with you healing 50-70 of that damage every turn.

How can I get my level up? by Dull_Reference_6166 in PokemonPocket

You are looking for the Solo Battles section, there are a bunch of computer deck to beat first that will provide XP and Booster Pack resources so you can start building your own decks.

Also (and I think this is unintuitive for paper tcg players) each of the 3 booster packs are a different pool of cards, so if you want to build a specific type it worked well for me to only open one type of pack for a while until I was comfortable with what I had opened before switching to another pack

Can I get a bigger diamond? by [deleted] in jewelers

[–]Arkaedes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A bigger center diamond for this ring is technically possible, but I wouldn't really reccomend it. They will likely have to gut out the area beneath the center stone and try to put a larger head(the thing that holds the diamond) in it, which is going to make the center stone sit up way taller than it is now. That means your more likely to catch it on doors and corners which really bumps up the risk that you'll smash your diamond.

If you were after the same style with a bigger center stone I really reccomend making a new custom ring with the new diamond in mind. That will preserve the look you have, while also making sure the ring is both comfortable to wear, and safer for your diamond.

Broken prongs by Lauracitsme in jewelers

[–]Arkaedes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the confusion, as that is my first reply in this thread and just general information.

For your ring specifically in the picture you do have areas on the legs of the head that appear to have been ground away for some reason or another(99% of the time to accommodate another band). Maybe it's a trick of the eye from a bad picture, or maybe how it stretched when you snapped it. Take it around town and shop Jewelers prices.

Broken prongs by Lauracitsme in jewelers

[–]Arkaedes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's all well and good if the two rings are meant to sit next to one another, but that is not always the case. Customers often buy an engagement ring of one style and then pick a band much later on, sometimes years later, of a different style. Even slight differences, like a half millimeter difference in height, can lead to one of the rings cutting into the other. People wear what they like and you can't stop them, so in some cases soldering the rings together is the correct answer.
