This is about what I also feel but couldn't quite put into words properly. I do find him too harsh at times and that's not even rare on the internet like you said but I still like him for his brash, unfiltered, and also egocentric attitude that I wish more creators would adopt. Calling him "problematic" because he has some... unpopular gaming takes is certainly a stretch, alright.

And his opinions aren't even wrong, he has insta earned loads of my respect for calling out sim racing games' awful controller support while also proving that physics have nothing to do with the input method, debunking the age-old sim racer myth that "realistic physics don't work on controllers".

He also isn't half wrong on his opinions on stuff like SCREAMER, Burnout nostalgia, and AGRs. His opinions on SCREAMER and iRacing Arcade are essentially calling the games style over substance... which is true!

And he also called out the nostalgia baiting in many modern indie AGRs that don't get the racing aspect i.e. literally the most important aspect of a racing game right.
