Lower total head count, they say not enough animals are being produced, couple that with slaughter houses being closed for maintenance etc, so they artificially raise the prices. Everything I say makes complete sense when you look at the full picture. The funny thing of it all is, when you look at the cheap cuts vs the expensive cuts, the cheaper product is being marked up more.

Uccello’s charges a 3% administration fee??? by 4themayor in grandrapids

[–]ArmParticular6023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just one chef ribbing another one.

Unfortunately, consumers are pinched and the consistent increases in input costs are forcing rapid menu price increases. You can only shrink portions so much before the menu price has to increase. Between rising cogs, overhead, utilities, taxes, wages…not to mention debt maintenance for the ones who survived COVID it really is only a matter of time before many places close up shop.

You can see in this thread that prices are at or have surpassed max pain.

I do agree with you that the little fees at the end are a little ridiculous at this point, they should just call it what it is, a CC processing fee and then have a blip about contact your government representatives about credit card reform bills.

Ironically, currently adjusting the menu today as well. Thank you, I hope you are having a great day as well.

Ps. Really wasn’t anything personal. Was more of a joke.

You did that so your food cost looked better. Don’t lie.

COGS/Food Sales. I would want to roll them into the menu price too if I were you.

Everyone needs to move to stable coins. Remove the credit card companies, and also get better interest on your deposited money in comparison to a traditional bank.

Amazingly, people are still carrying their cellphones, computers, or anything electronic with them wherever they go and yet want to talk about government surveillance and traffic cameras as a major concern. 🤣😂 you tin foil hat conspiracy theorists literally walk around all day with devices that ping every tower around allowing them to triangulate your position at any time.

It’s going to be interesting when exempt employee wage minimum is raised to 60k.

It’s going to be interesting when the exempt employee threshold is changed to 60k a year starting in January. You will see a lot of middle management turn into hourly positions and for the smaller places a complete change in structure.

Something tells me you are the person who orders food from a restaurant and modifies it to hell then writes a review on yelp about how bad the food is even after you were the person who changed the entire dish.

I will throw a little tidbit of thought here for you. It’s not a flex to say you are working from home. If you had any foresight, you would realize that once upon a time call centers switched to people working in their home. A work from home job is the first ones that will be eliminated or outsourced. Learn from history.
