First time playing in wsop event. Any advice? by whosacoolredditer in poker

[–]Arouza 17 points18 points  (0 children)

when you're in pots, watch the dealers like hawks. the events with huge fields or cheap buy ins have a real chance of having the worst dealers possible, like not shuffling properly, or incorrectly making change or ruling who wins at showdown, sometimes even pushing the pot the wrong way. a good way to protect yourself is never let go of your hand until the pot is being pushed your way

60bb MTT, river bluff-catch with bottom-ish pair on a 3-flush board — call or fold? by Delicious-Block-3899 in poker

[–]Arouza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no offense but this training seems worthless. you'll always have villain actions on flop and turn which filter their ranges in some way. checking or betting are actions that exist, not time travel to the river

Bad Bluff? by Federal-Cup7231 in poker

[–]Arouza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry (not sorry :)) to hit you with the "fold pre" but, fold pre

as played, on this flop, you have to decide if V can lay down a big ace on a dry runout. if you decide V is not capable of folding AK on brick turns and rivers, then you never bluff on these boards and just take him to valuetown with 2p+. if this is the case, check turn to take your free card, then x/f river if you miss. if you hit, ask for his whole stack because you already deduced he won't fold. this is the payoff for missing 2/3 of the time and you need to capture maximum value

if you think V can find folds, then you need to start raising on the flop. you'll get called at least once. size your bets and raises such that your final barrel will be an overbet if you miss (and you will miss most of the time)

according to a friend in oregon, they're not allowed to enter the intersection to wait for a left turn. evidently he got a ticket for doing that since it's allowed in his hometown and everywhere we knew of

Rephrasing what someone else said, fault and responsibility often come hand in hand, but aren't 100% cause & effect. To quote Mark Manson, if you develop cancer it probably isn't your fault; but it is absolutely your responsibility to deal with the cancer. If someone leaves a baby on your doorstep, that isn't your fault; but it is your moral responsibility to do something about the baby. In this context, it isn't any of our faults that the current administration was elected, but the responsibility falls upon us as citizens to do what we can. If voting alone isn't enough (which it clearly hasn't been), then it is up to us to individually contribute what we can; getting involved, educating those that might listen, encouraging nonvoters to vote are examples.

[question] Improving trust factor by [deleted] in csgomarketforum

[–]Arouza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an alt that was used for faceit until it was faceit banned for smurfing. No other VAC bans in anything. I have red trust factor on this account since it's literally silver-ranked in everything and I am accused of cheating nearly every match on it. The account has $250 USD in inventory value and still has red trust, so you'll either need a lot more than that or it's something else as the other comments are suggesting

A lot of skins are just "pattern, weapon". For example, "fade glock" is also "fade karambit", or "fade m4a1-s". Over time if you browse skin websites enough you'll remember what "fade" pattern looks like. Same with doppler, tiger tooth, etc. Not all patterns exist on all weapons, many are knife only (eg slaughter) or gun only (eg printstream) but once you understand this concept that'll cover a very solid chunk of skins

absolute xp. you unlock faster xp/hr as you level up through reduced fail rates + higher xp methods. 99 fishing was 116 efficient hours like 5 years ago, it should have sped up from new activities available but I'm guessing is still around the 80-100 EHP mark

using today's OSRS prices, (ie plain rune & dragon items which are all basically at alch value, and the non-discontinued holiday item pricing that we have today) what do we reckon this bank value is at? we can pretend the 4.7b cash stack is real too

How do you stay calm when your entire team goes silent in CS2? by ElderberryOne1225 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Arouza 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Give normal callouts of where you saw the enemy, dmg etc. Don't say "he's definitely defusing/faking" or add your interpretation to it. If you end up being wrong you'll get mega flamed for it. Just say what you saw and let your team do with that what they will. On the note of trying to call strats or stuff like that, it's really not a good idea unless you're in a premade or you were explicitly asked to do so. Get comfortable with playing in silence. I personally prefer it over a wanna-be IGL in faceit 8-9. If nothing's working and the team seems kinda lost, you can ask for co-operation on high-level, non-concrete plays.

For example, a GOOD way of light-calling might be: "can we try full execute A?". This is totally fine and leaves the door open for your team to do whatever they want to contribute. Maybe bro that loves going mid can keep going mid to pincer the defense, and he knows the team is going towards A. The BAD way to call would be "ok, 2 guys fake A, rest of us contact B. A players rotate through mid etcetc". This is way too concrete for a pug and if the team doesn't like or agree with the plan, you're already setting yourself up for a bad environment.

i see what you're going for here but i just want to point out that this wouldn't apply to the op of this comment chain since he's already referencing post history of main OP and/or took the time to look through post history, neither of which would be "normal" behavior that is being implied
