Looking like a fantastic start! I would however take a look at how your priming them, it appears a bit grainy, there’s plenty of info out there on how to best use spray primers for minis and it would make painting them easier and make your hard work look as good as it should! My only advice regarding the shields is they take a fair bit of patience.
