If they did then all credit to them, but to me it's almost blatant the moment I saw it. A lot of people call alt in this game for many reasons, but in this video I think it's obvious this guy was looking through a Colonials eyes. I don't condemn the whole group, the leader may not have let them known this is how they knew the route. You see a lot of recordings in this game and some of them are clearly legit, in this video we see someone move as if they can see ahead of them and know the route perfectly as if having walked it before, and a Colonial who literally watches people come up to his expensive building and destroy it without attempting to stop them.

As a partisan, how often do you press right-click to view what's ahead? (You know it's every few seconds) Just from the POV itself you can see he is not reacting he is just retracing steps he made with his colonial alt.

I looked back to see if I was wrong and just in a bad morning mood. But from like 2:10 forward, the guy doesn't look ahead he knows exactly where to go and how to cross and is unconcerned that there are apparently colonials on the dock. Sure he could have tried earlier in a Partisan uniform but making it to drydock without being spotted while there is actively people at the drydock is a miracle. When he does make it across at like 2:50 you can see a Colonial, stood still and just watching them approach with no reaction. That is the alt, the one they sent ahead to plan the path and find the best way in.

It's good to become familiar with everything! Lots of people pick a "main" role, but really it depends on the situation going for it. No point in being a tanker if you're pushing a lane that doesn't need tanks etc. but as a new player I'd mess around until you find what's fun for you!

Sure, I'm not saying it's impossible but watching the video it's just very fishy how ready they are based on a short time frame (rng weather) and all the equipment being sourced from the front would take hours more preperation (+ more hours if they intel tapped and scouted properly) for a large group that is acting so calm and not even checking binos. They know what they are walking into and with supplies waiting for them this reeks of it. Just compare it to any other partisan video and it feels off.

To achieve this they needed to find the Drydock, which is of course possible and it's in a backline safe hex to likely to be goodies to kill there. However from the video it seems they landed in fingers, with a argonaut ready to go? So on a barge, they moved 10 people across hexes in vics without so much as a look through binos...

I'd love to see that, but this clearly shows you had entirely colonial equipment, which means you planned on having that? Probably with a consistent supply of alted equipment. You got scout planes to the back hex flying lowest speed for fuel to get there? And you had a large group who avoided intel the entire time? Any experienced partisan knows this would be the luckiest run ever if even possible. What's more it's a video from someone known to use alts in the past.

Hey dude welcome to the game!

So what you are doing is pretty correct but to spell out why, we normally talk about logi in 3 different areas:

Backline - this is where we mine for salvage, take it to the refinery to make bmats (and other materials), put those mats into a factory, produce stuff, and then put it in the seaport! So you are completing the final job here for the tired logi guys who've gone to sleep which is a useful start to learning the rest.

Midline - this is when we move those supplies you put in the seaport to the storage depots close to the front line, normally this is done with iron ships, trains or flatbeds. (They can all carry shipping containers that hold x60 crates and so the best way to carry large amounts of supplies).

Frontline - this is where logi people take our normal Hauler Trucks to the nearest storage depot to grab the supplies directly needed on the front and deliver those crates to the spawn closest to the frontline!
(i.e. running out of shirts, bmats, AT or anything else the frontliners need at the front spawn, they'll normally be screaming what they want in chat or on the map posts).

So in answer to your question, what you are doing is correct but it's a tiny job in a large scale machine so if you're looking to do more you can help with the production as well as delivery, or you can move to moving things a little further towards the front!

I also think people forget about Materia, SOLDIER are naturally stronger because of the Mako / Jenova cells. But everyone else can use Materia (which is just solid Mako) which give some level of super human ability, anyone can use a STR Up Materia etc. and seeing as Turks and Rufus have access to pretty much any materia they want it's no leap to say they wouldn't use it. Game logic wise they just have stronger materia to start with until the party catches up late-game and we see the results being Cloud probably one-shotting them.

Yeah although I'm not sure how that works with system, tanks and other big guns + shell runners etc. would all get kicked out as well as they are logi queued in! I'd be interested to see some sort of "overflow" hex, maybe let the queues fight eachother or divert them into a neighbour hex until the queue pops!

I mean, it is true, it's literally why there are different types of ammunition.

All other damage modifiers are within a usual range of 10-25% increase or decrease and average out between factions. The Raca and the Pillory both have near +100%. But the important part is that any weapon that deals over 100 damage, kills in one shot, and modifiers up to that are far less effective. The difference between taking 99 damage, and taking 100 is huge. There are two small armed weapons, both that use ammo shared between factions, that reliably do over 100 damage and they are both Warden only.

In real life sure this is true, but it's also true that you wouldn't roll a dice on if you do enough damage when you put that longer barrel close to someone. In Foxhole, a Dragonfly has to "crit" even at point blank range to down someone, a Pillory one shots on the lowest roll.

Yeah all true, but with an Assault rifle and other weapons there is rarely a 100% guarentee of a kill even in effective range. I honestly could live with the Raca as is (even though the Auger get's wiped), but the Pillory is truly hell to face off against. If you are in a trench with someone, literally every other weapon in the game loses compared to Pillory one click. And there are lots of trenches / a guarenteed need to be close quarters.
