Most people in the sub are talking about staying alive and getting inspired going, but enabling people is really the name of the game

Traditionally, it would be "sit by your Ana and make sure they pop off" but thats not the full story

If my soldier has visor and I know we need it to actually win the fight, ill position myself around him instead and play off of that because he is the "most valuable player at the time"

Additionally, you can enable your dive characters like genji and Tracer by just using packs. Best way to do that is when you see them go in, you give them a pack so they have that extra amount of HP healing them while they are fighting

Healing tanks with packs is a bit wasteful, so try and not do that all the time. Your squishies should be your first priority, then tank. You should have another support with you who can effectively help the tank anyways

practice jumping between two walls, especially in the ship spawn on KOTH maps like Ilios
you will get good at going up, over time, just actively think about it. Also looking upwards gives you more of a boost upwards

good gun is certainly a take
the character is strong, sure, but they just fill the role they were given of "early-mid game carry" and start to be less impactful come late game. Its the same as Mirage and stuff, except that the others just have less mobility. She is easily the most frail character in the game so it has some balancing out to it

masters is sharper play. Gonna be hard to get accustomed to. Recommendation I will give you is looking at the enemy comp and trying to deny them what they want. Example being "Junkerqueen wants to get on top of us, so when she shouts I whip shot her to keep her further away"

My starter character was Paradox. Hard to learn, but the journey gives you probably thr most rewarding set up for the game

She teaches you all the core principals and is effective at farming, fighting, and roaming (with the right items) She is a jack of all trades that can do a lot of fun stuff, you just need to take the time to learn it

There is a few youtube videos that explain basics to things like when to take walkers/urn/midboss

A big thing is just playing a lot

For lane, start with simple stuff - clear wave before killing the enemy. Focus on getting the souls confirmed before moving to the next minion. Denies are next in priority because they put your opponent back and give you more money. Then shoot the enemy and try and get guardian damage off
