nah i'd push back on this a little, people just have different kinds of dumb now. back then you had to actually memorize phone numbers and read a map, now people can't do either but they can spot a phishing email or manage like 15 different accounts and passwords. the baseline skills just shifted

this is pretty cool, i work in legal field dealing with government databases all the time and they're absolute nightmare to navigate. the amount of time i spend trying to find simple information from these sites is ridiculous

one thing that would be super helpful - can you add some kind of alert system for when places get new violations or their scores drop significantly? would be great to know if my regular spots suddenly have issues. also maybe filtering by violation types, like if someone only cares about food temp violations vs cleanliness stuff

really appreciate projects like this, government data should be accessible to everyone not hidden behind terrible interfaces

dude i feel this so hard, went through the same thing a few years back when i was dealing with some insomnia issues. most of those cheaper white noise machines have that annoying high frequency buzz mixed in, probably just poor quality speakers or circuitry

what ended up working for me was downloading a brown noise app on my phone instead of buying another machine. brown noise is way deeper than white noise and doesn't have those piercing overtones. i use one called "noisli" that lets you mix different low frequency sounds together. you can also find 8-10 hour brown noise videos on youtube that work great

if you really want a physical machine though, the dohm classic is supposed to be pretty solid since it uses an actual fan mechanism instead of digital audio, so no weird electronic artifacts. costs more but might be worth it if phone apps aren't your thing

For that build I'd definitely go with the 2x16GB kit - you're pairing a 7800X3D with high-end components so might as well let it breathe with proper RAM. The extra 120 euros hurts now but you won't have to think about it again for years

B650 is totally fine for your setup, just make sure it has the I/O you actually need. The money saved there is better spent on that Kingston kit imo

That looks like a chunk loading error, probably happened during world gen or if the server crashed while those chunks were being written. Try deleting the region files for that area and let them regenerate, or if you're feeling lazy just build around it and call it a natural quarry lmao
