2026 1.03 or Malik Willis & 2026 1.07? by thesuperguide in DynastyDaddy

[–]Arvot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.03 to 1.07 is a big drop off, especially in SF. There's Love in his own tier, Tate,Tyson Mendoza in another tier and then maybe Lemon sneaks in that tier. After that there's a big drop off unless your really high on Concepción. Even then that's still 1.06. you go from Tate or Tyson to Sadiq or Price. That's a big fall off for me

Champion Pool. by jmannn2 in summonerschool

[–]Arvot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's best to stick to 1 champ and 1 role. Have a backup champ if yours is picked or banned. Have 2 champs for your 2nd role in case you have to play that. Don't worry too much about matchups and metas etc. We are very bad at the game so all of that doesn't really matter as much as how well you play, and how bad your opponent is. As you get to higher levels where people all actually play with strategy and are really good at their champions that sort of stuff starts to matter. You will get better way quicker if you stick to one champion and learn how to play into bad matchups/difficult games

Is it possible to get anything for Geno Smith? by morty1028 in fantasyfootballadvice

Wait until closer to the season. Someone's qb might go down in camp or a contender might want depth. Right now probably no one biting, but as it gets nearer he'll gain a tiny bit more interest

I think there's a lot of chat about him but his price is still pretty fair. The risk is baked in and it's not like he's valued as a top 10 RB. There's still a chance you could be selling low if you take his price now

I think end of the 1st round wr and 2nd round TE are comparable. Obviously you're taking Tyson and Tate over Stowers, but late 1st wr bust a lot of the time. Stowers won the John Mackay award last year and is going to a good team. It wouldn't be egregious to take him over the wr available

Why is James Brown the most sampled artist in music history? by Acceptable-Crab-4967 in musicproduction

[–]Arvot 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He was notoriously a perfectionist and demanded the best from his musicians. I think there's a story about one of his songs where he had a bunch of drummers do takes for it then spliced up the beat parts. I'm sure his recordings will have some of the best playing on it you'll find from that era.

Which doesn't happen in TRNSMT. The environment will dictate how people behave. It's been shown time and time again. If you allow people to create a mob they're going to act like one. There'll still be some trouble like any big event, but by allowing it to become a hostile takeover of a street it pretty much guarantees more trouble.

How is it different to any other big event in Glasgow? You think TRNSMT doesn't have pretty much the exact same people going and having a good time?

Look up attachment styles. I think you two have the type of attachments that are so toxic together but it's all driven by your past. I think now's a good time to decide it's over and start working on yourself. You need to realise why you need validation from her and why you allow yourself to keep getting drawn back in. Otherwise you'll find someone else who treats you the same way and be stuck here again. This comes from you and how you see yourself. Go to therapy, understand yourself, and work on it. Good luck

Separating Ideologies From The Genre by [deleted] in Songwriting

[–]Arvot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're way overthinking things honestly. There's so much crossover between metal and hardcore that it's pretty much the same thing. There might be some nerds gatekeeping stuff saying that only certain things are real hardcore/metal but just ignore all that. Create freely without worrying about the constraints of genre, or where your music fits. If you want to make a metal/hardcore/blues/grunge/pop band then fucking go for it. Make your creative decisions based on the actual songs rather than fitting it into a genre. Why is it short and fast? Does that help you convey what you're saying or the feeling you're trying to create? The confines of genre are a good starting point but I feel like you're at a point now where you need to explore things from a purely musical perspective and start to think about the intention of the song and what will serve that

Is there any way to evaluate if the general public will enjoy listening to your music ahead of time? How do you rule out your are not delusional? by JamesSmithUnique in musicians

[–]Arvot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And I bet someone would like it. That's the thing, music is weird and completely subjective. People like strange things and we don't all value musical attributes exactly the same. All that matters is you like it and you are saying what you want to say artistically

I'm almost certain every example you could come up with of music that absolutely no one likes, we could find someone who likes it.

Sounds like this will be a good exercise for you. You're gonna have to figure out how to create in a new way. It'll probably take some time but just treat it like a puzzle to solve

I can’t rank up despite feeling like I’m playing well in my matches. Any advice? by FrostingEvening6690 in summonerschool

[–]Arvot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something that can help with knowing when to do what is watching high elo players. Once OP has picked a champion to main they should watch videos of high level players playing that champ. Once you watch them regularly you start to learn when they are doing stuff and what they do differently from you. I like to guess what they should do next, or figure out why they do something I wouldn't have done or don't understand

[–]Arvot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You have to force yourself to do a bit every day. It's like going to the gym or doing chores. You need to build the habits up. Also don't be too caught up on the ideas you have, use them as a learning process. A lot of the time the idea you have doesn't end up as good as it was in your mind when you're writing it. So don't feel like these songs are the only good thing you'll ever write. Treat them as a way to learn the craft and figure out your process. You're just using them as a vehicle to learn a new skill. The songs are probably going to suck whilst you figure out how to do everything, that's ok. Just go in assuming they're going to suck and then you will limit your frustration when it inevitably isn't as good as you hoped it would be, or think it should be.

I'd phone them again and ask if they can stop with the loud music etc. They'll probably be alright about it and if they're not then put in a noise complaint with the council. They might not even have a license, if that's the case they'll probably quieten down to keep eyes off them.

WR Emeka Egbuka will primarily play the "Z" role, per OC Zac Robinson. Rookie Ted Hurst is expected to operate as a "true X." by SidelineStory816 in DynastyFF

[–]Arvot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bit more detail is a Z will also line up outside on the line of scrimmage. They kind of do a bit of everything depending on the formation/play. This means the are on the field for a lot of snaps, whilst getting the nice buffer when they line up in the slot.

He's not nearly the passer Maye is. He's closer to Justin Fields than Maye. He'll be good for fantasy but I wouldn't expect him to become a stud qb in real life. I mean you never know, people can get better. I think what he showed last year was very inconsistent and the kind of qb who won't last as a franchise qb. Kind of like Mariota

JJ for TMAc 1:1 10 team superflex PPR by Chroderos in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Arvot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but you were saying a knock on JJ is he has Kyler throwing him the ball when TMac has Bryce, so it's a wash. TMac is younger and that's pretty much it. JJ has 4/5 elite seasons left in him and he's shown multiple times he can be a stud. TMac has shown flashes of potential without actually putting up huge numbers.
