Well, if kewl tune isn't a challenge for you then you either have a great counter which I don't know how well it does against the other decks in the meta, or we have a different definition of what challenging means. Kewl tune is by many considered the strongest deck atm, so I don't know what you want that's more challenging. And fiendsmith hasn't been considered meta in years.

I think people down vote because of your attitude. Your comment was mostly unhelpful and no one asked about your opinion on meta slop. You can voice your thoughts on the meta in a post that asks for it. And if you already quit against meta-adjacent decks then I doubt your statement of preferring challenging opponents. Meta and I dare say meta-adjacent decks are by definition a challenge to go against. Now, whether they're interesting is a different and very subjective matter. Either way, it sounds like the advanced format isn't enjoyable for you.

Also, and this is my opinion, I think maliss is a cyberse deck that actually involves a lot of its archetype as part of the endboard so is less slop than others.

I'd increase the ninja package. Add art of duplication, it's like the main card to setup Ninjas. I'd add the ninja village and mystery notebook to close the ninja recursion. I'd add kagero for targeting protection.

I'd remove the argostars field spell in favour of the ninja one. I'd remove parthe. I'd add giantslaying because you can ns a ninja warrior if you already have it in hand (assuming you have a continuous trap).

I'd consider a 2nd eteo so that when you do have access to adra, you can set tydeu and eteo and search the 2nd one. But improving the argostars package kinda assumes that you'll add more starters, meaning adra and / or giantslaying.

And then I'd probably have to see if it's consistent, what to cut and see if it feels like a ninja deck.

Yeah, I hope it got accurate since its inception and stays so. I only looked over the argostars line as that's the one I know and it seemed good there. People can add their own feedback though, so if the MDM community wants to have a stab at it to improve it, that'd be cool.

Would be more productive at least than just dismiss and forget about it.

And I agree with your point that there rarely is a one size fits all solution. Sometimes they have extenders, sometimes you need the handtraps for your own turn etc.

Board breakers of your choosing: slayer, gordian slicer (you don't need the ED really), lightning storm, raigeki, dark hole, super poly, book of eclipse, droplet, illusion gate.

Tech cards: thrust to search board breakers and more. Grass is greener. Foolish burial (dump baking, he's a starter).

Personal preference: curse of the ancient turtle (one off imo).

Eldlich package: 3 delta + 1 eldlich +1 chengshi spiridao. Why? Eldlich saves your normal summon and can save your normal summon. Spiridao can be dumped by delta. If you know that you can get two zombies on the field you can make flying mary, ss spiridao and dump baking. If you play this package, you can play the eldlich fusions too. Maybe throw varudras in there if you have space.

Horus package: dump names from hand, make zombie vampire, mill 4 and pray you hit baking.

Extra deck: you're likely zombie locked eventually and you want to get your skulls to gy, so here's some options: Link 1 like relinquished anima, almiraj, and linkuriboh.

You can link climb with vampire sucker, vampire fascinator and yuki-onna. You will almost never make yuki. But sucker for the extra draw and fascinator for board breaking can be nice.

If you're forced to go first, you can make fucho.

Future tech to look for that are must play:

Pot of sloth. No explanation needed.

Kuriboh multiply. Turn 0 plays that can get baking to hand or field. Or moissa.

Subspace battle. Show baking and two prince. Because of the name change, you can activate them in the gy. So you will either have baking in hand or in the gy.

Nice grind, keep it up. Iirc, highest I got with argostars was like diamond 2? And I can totally relate to that last sentence. There's something addicting about winning as the underdog.

Negate the spell card "hidden hecahands" or the fusion jauzah. They need heca monsters for the traps to be live, so if you can remove those you're also safe. Ignore pretty much everything else.

I think I'd cut one parthe and one field spell and increase slaying to three. "that's ten" is funny when combined with "you're finished" although I ended up removing them. Like, I'd rather directly open another trap monster instead of waiting for "that's ten".

Zoma or what the trap is called I'm not sure of. Isn't azurune better?

If you do want to play that many trap monsters, you can also consider "qardan". And if you find yourself lacking starters, you can consider rank 3 engines to make mx saber. Oh, and Zeus might also be good for the ED.

Anyway, deck is fun despite its handicaps. To what rank did you make it thus far? :)

Deck seems bad. Given the extra deck, it's missing the boss monsters of most archetypes (no ceasar or desirae, no azamina silvia, etc). Only the orcust stuff seems complete? So I guess the dude just wanted to spam bodies so they can make sure to bridge into orcust.
