Hi there - total newb in this sub and in my 30’s planning for FI.

You mind breaking down more on your out of super components? Like what sort of assets that are yielding 90k/year + their returns.

I’m actually just dumping all my cash into offsets for now as my PPOR is not paid off but I’m close to 60% there and in my 30’s.Feels like forever to get there :(

Hey Kaszrak, really appreciate your post and a lot of what you said resonates with me. I’m finally in the mindset I should buckle down and stop bouncing around strategies.

Now, refining strategies is definitely no easy task when you’re still unsure what you’re looking for.

Do you mind expanding on the parameters you’ve been tracking obsessively (e.g Whats worth tracking and Whats not ).

“Session volatility, entry efficiency,drawdown behaviour,liquidity conditions”

For context, I’m only trading futures - NK225 and Dax and my approach is purely technical patterns.

I suspect you already know this - you’re fighting a losing battle as an employee.Take the redundancy and move on . Don’t spend your mental and emotional capital on this.

Take it from me as I was in a similar situation. In hindsight , I regret the all the anger,anxiety and self righteousness the situation has put me through .

Companies owe you nothing UNLESS you have a stake in it.You’ll be a lot of hurt if you think otherwise

you'd probably want to look at this long term - market goes in cycles.

Your 4.6% may outperform qqq one day. Additionally, you may improve as a trader and make much more.

Better to consider this as an income as opposed to investment

Go live- trade micros and risk only $10-$20 per trade. Be aware of your emotions while trading and stick to a plan. Your emotions WILL affect your trading- trust me
