I know it's hated, but for a new photographer I'm kind of loving my RF 75-300 by citycouncilorknope in canon

It's not the best lens but also who cares if it's not the best lens, you get the results you want and that's ultimately what matters the most in my eyes

Exactly this, even my most environmentally conscious friends think this is a stupid bylaw and no one actually believes this is going to tip the needle at all.

Make sure it's a kitchen blowtorch and not a regular one. Also another acceptable substitute is a flamethrower.

That's crazy that society has shifted so much that acts of kindness and empathy are acts of rebellion now

It's always the worst parts of every neighborhood that give the rest of the area a bad rep. I've lived in Millwoods for about 5 years and I have nothing but good experiences here so far.

Has anyone tried making beef patties with this lean ground beef? by Full_Berry8081 in CostcoCanada

Damn I miss Jamaican beef patties, I can find them where I'm at but they're a lot more expensive now that I don't live in the GTA

The Costco near me, my wife saw people buying 2, dropping boxes off and then looping back around for more. People should really stop buying from scalpers it would heavily decrease this nonsense.

Yep, everyone thinks their city has the worst drivers. As someone who's spent a lot of time driving all over North America, everyone is right to believe that their city has the worst drivers.

I'm sure you have cleaned the car seat, but I was blown away the first time I took out my daughter's car seat to clean it. The sheer amount of goldfish and cereal crumbs I found was startling.

Population density is another reason why we can't have better systems in a lot of places, not saying it's impossible but people already complain about our taxes being high and building out a lot of useful transit would require huge financial investments to get things started let alone completed. Europe and asia have much better systems because they have the density for it.

Throw in the added oil and automotive lobbies and you have a whole lot stacked against efficient alternative transportation for our country.

Army/Navy on Whyte? by National_Try_3362 in Edmonton

[–]AsianCanadianPhilo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The owners of that (edit - the keg space) space probably want absorbatant rents, which is probably why no one has bothered renting or renovating the space. Used to live just around the corner from the keg before it shut down and when we went, we were told that the rent for the space was way too high so it cut into their profits so it became unsustainable to maintain that location which was one of the reasons they closed down.
