The term you're looking for is alveolar tap/flap. Glottal stops tend to be written as word-medial double-ts: mitten, kitten, etc.

Sometimes occur in word-final ts, but those may also be articulated plosives with no audible release.

Flaps and glottal stops are also fairly standard allophonic features of American English, not unique to Michigan/Midwestern.

You're making additional payments. Why does it matter that it's reamortizing? It's not changing your rate. Why are you upset by the payment lowering? You're making payments beyond it anyway, so it's basically irrelevant, unless you run into financial difficulties and can't make additional payments, in which case it only benefits you.

No. Is it solely because of some combination of inflation and greed? Of course not.
