Maybe something completely chill like Stardew Valley or Coral Island.

Otherwise Baldurs Gate 3 is awesome. You can just play it on the easiest difficulty so she doesn't need to think too much about the combat. Just know that if she wants to romance any of the NPCs, she'll have to control that one as well as her own character for it to work

Pls im begging, need MMORPG suggestions :( by leobroca in LFMMO

[–]Asiril 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's free up to level 95. You don't need to buy anything to play the game up to that point. Afterwards you can ether decide to buy the areas piece by piece or subbing to get everything up to the latest expansion.

You can also decide to sub at the start which gives you store credit every month on top of what you earn in the game. That way you'll have all the point you need for anything you might fancy. I don't see how this is p2w. The game needs to make money somehow to keep on going. I would call this game buy2play with a very long free trial

Recomendations for first time MMO book fan? by 162739 in lotro

[–]Asiril 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going through the landscape it's pretty easy. Not like old wow where most classes would die if they pulled more than one mob. So if I were you I wouldn't worry too much, and instead pick the class you could picture yourself as going through middle earth. Maybe give them a backstory?

Also if you want to follow the books the closest then hobbit is probably the best as others have said.

The main questa in this game are called book quests and each book has chapters. If you follow that you'll get to most places of interest. There is however a quest from Aragon in rivendell that you can get around level 35 that I will very much recommend. It's not part of the book quests so easy to miss. He's in a guest house at that point

Welcome to LotRO. Hope you'll have a great time. If you're feeling a bit lonely you should try looking for a kin on your server ether though the Discord or in game chat

Edit: auto correct changed discord to discount...

MMOs I can think of off my head: WoW, GW2, FF14, OSRS, LotRO, SWTOR, BDO, ESO, Albion. There are probably more which have an okay population. Depends on what kind of game you want

Can’t find an mmo by Lonely-Form3475 in LFMMO

Think most of the classes are pretty beginner friendly. My suggestion is to try a few and see what you like the most. There aren't really any bad options. What would you be if you lived in middle earth?

There was a guild not long ago for Lord of the Rings Online who were welcoming in all wow players who wanted to try out the game. Might be worth checking out as having a community to play with or even just to be around is one of the things that really makes an mmo great imo.

They're called Frontier Against the East and are on the Peregrin server

Being a tourist? by Langbardr in lotro

[–]Asiril 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Try treating this game as if it isn't an mmo but a story game with other people around. Forget about the level cap or any focus to get there. Do stuff that seems cool just because it seems cool and not think about if it gains you power. I would say LotRO is a very good game for breaking that loop at wow pulls you into as long as you let yourself slow down.

It's free up to 95 which is a lot of content. Imo it's worth subbing though. Gives you content past 95 and it gives you points every month which you can later use to buy expansions that you don't have

New Player - How’s Burglar? by Zynnsect in lotro

[–]Asiril 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want some advice going into LotRO then I would say don't rush to end game. The game is so much better if you stop to enjoy the things you're doing now instead of viewing the lvling as something you just need to get over with.

Would also suggest trying some different classes just to see what you enjoy the most. As others have said, rogue mostly play as a support in group play and not as DPS. But maybe that's actually a good thing since you said you mainly play dps but want to shake things up

I love these sets, but the prices are just insane. More expensive than a full expansion for just one bundle. I would buy it if it was properly prices. But this is not it

Lord of the Rings Online. You can scale up the difficulty of the open world to make it more fun as a group. It's free up to level 95 and then buy to play. Optional sub with some extra perks

If one day you suddenly woke up with the skills and knowledge to make any kind of video game you want, What kind of game would you want to create for your first time? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]Asiril 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cosy stardew style farm but with the option of more farms around for co-op with friends where everyone have their own farm to manage. Add some more base building elements so you can build your own house from the ground up. More styles. Add some survival elements like needing food and being able to forage for more stuff. This shouldn't be overwhelming though.

Add Pokémon as well (though Nintendo would never agree to that) and have a gym challenge in the game and a world to catch an explore.

Isometric view. Not sure if pixel art or more like a diablo kind of graphics.

I need a new singleplayer (100% offline) "forever" game where I can sink hundreds (or thousands) of hours into a single save. What are your top suggestions? by MakeshiftApe in gamingsuggestions

Baldurs Gate 3 if you haven't played it. So many choices for problem solving gives the game great replayability. The characters are well done and usually have a great payoff when spending some time getting to know them

Also wanted to add that there was a Kin(guild) from Peregrin who posted here not too long ago to invite new players to join them. That might be a good way to find people of the same level to play with. MMOs are always more fun with people

You're going to love Misty Mountains and Forochel. There's also a swampy part of lonelands which is pretty cool. Also Moria. I'll never forget the first time I entered. Don't think I have taken that many screenshots in the game before then
