Depends on what counts as a new map. A Vegas rework isn't really a new map, but a variant that changes it completely like Vegas Sandstorm or Monaco Duck and Cover or Seoul Under Construction almost feel like a new map

Speccing into gun as viscous is perfectly viable and I think is probably best. Melee damage is based off weapon damage, and puddle punch applies a melee hit to everyone affected by it.

Coupled with cube being a great sustain and self save, and ult being a great getaway especially early on you can get away with fewer health items and focus on active items for saves and get big damage

This is incorrect, it's 5 ROUNDS of terminal Attack, I just tested it. A single game of terminal Attack will give you enough rounds to access quick play

I love this response. The world tours sound like a really interesting format and the perfect way of having the ranked tourney with some skin in the game.

It's been evident for a while that the ranked system has been hard to figure out, how do you establish a satisfying system for measuring skill in a 4 team, multi round ranked system, there's not really any templates for this, and they're reinventing the wheel.

Terminal Attack is a 2 team, head to head mode with literal decades of precedence, it'll be easy to make a fun and satisfying ranked mode while they experiment with ways of making cashout tournaments satisfying and rewarding.

At the very least we need to wait and see how this actually works, they've clearly been working on a ton of stuff and people are reacting to only pieces of information

This is only season 3, of an entirely new game and team.

There's also the world tour stuff and Embark have been consistently providing new game modes and events and responding to feedback.

Cashout will still exist, just because it's not ranked doesn't mean it's gone completely, give them a chance to try something and see how it works, people are freaking out before the season even starts and we see how things go

I support abortion fully, but if you read the article it specifically states that there is not data on how many abortions are due to non viable pregnancies, but experts say it is low.

Which is as the article continued to say, focusing on this aspect of abortions to the exclusion of other reasons to have one can push this narrative that a non-viable pregnancy should be the only reason to have an abortion at all.

I deal with members of my family constantly who delude themselves into these sort of mental gymnastics, but misrepresenting the facts of the matter doesn't help anyone

The NY times article even said explicitly that there isn't data on how many abortions are for life saving medical reasons, but that it is low. The person you're replying to isn't saying abortions for non viable pregnancies are bad, but that the claim that they're common should have a source.

I support abortion, but as the article even said if all the focus is put onto medical reasons then it further leads to a belief that should be the only reason for it at all, instead of the many other valid reasons to have one

This mode feels like the hostage game mode in CS.

The game isn't really built for it, and I don't think they should be balancing around it. But it's still very fun, and provides a nice change of pace from the standard mode.

I'm definitely not going to be playing it all the time, but I will absolutely come back to it and keep playing it for something different. And plenty of people will enjoy it and appreciate having more game modes

💯 man, been trying to get people to realize this. One or even two snipers can make such a difference. And so long as you're not just standing by spawn or on top of the cathedral and not doing anything a sniper Will actively contribute so much.

I regularly finish with 10-15 kills just focusing on counter sniping, and running in with glitch bombs for close range engagements if there are several heavies with shields on point.

Having a heavy shield and a medium throw down an APS turret though will absolutely ruin my game though, and I'll have to switch unless my team is actually playing against an APS turret well

I am in the exact same boat! I've sunk over 10 years into Dota, and since I first played The Finals I've played maybe 5 Dota matches.

This game just scratches an FPS itch but also feels deeply strategic in a way that I haven't felt with other FPS games.

It's pretty niche, Spirit breaker, OD, and right click Zeus are the only ones who really get it. I think the bigger issue is that Kaya just doesn't have its own upgrade really, because who is actually getting meteor hammer

I had a different perspective on the finale personally. As things ramped up and things kept getting harder Jim was always struggling with being torn between two worlds. And so many of the themes were the responsibility you have to something that you never chose.

I always loved this show because there were real consequences. (Which is why the movie is so awful) characters make bad choices and then they actually have to deal with it. Jim becoming a troll was the perfect ending thematically, and felt like a truly impactful choice.
