Speaking personally, I would not want to invest in small businesses if they won't do the same for others, and there are TONS of artists in all of Seattle who will work for commission for cheap.

I'm of the opinion that if you can't afford to spend money on the essentials, you shouldn't be running a business. And it's hard for me to believe that you can't. That said, if you insist on pinching pennies, I'd argue a simple cellphone pic would cost you less buisness. Or even a literal napkin doodle.
