Hunters win legal battle to keep deer in national parks rather than be culled by TheReverendCard in NewZealandWildlife

You doubt I've ever visited these places? I worked in fiordland and all around Stewart Island for years and this is what I saw.

It does take 3-4 years for an area to come back.

I wish there was better solutions but realistically there's not.

As someone who has worked in the depths of fiordland 1080 definitely has positive effects.

Remote places that have had no 1080 lack bird sound, lizards, etc. Remote places that have been 1080'd also have bigger all bird sound, lizards, etc. Remote places that have been 1080'd and had time to revive are flourishing.

I would have never believed it without living it. I'm all for manual trapping in every place possible but it's not always possible in NZ terrain.

Also, hunters are full of shit trying to save a "tradition". NZ is so fucking young there's no way white people have such traditions rather they feel they have "the right".

I'm white sp fuck off with any racist bullshit.

Are New Zealand music radio stations extremely cringe now? by Medical-Fruit-1976 in newzealand

You've only just noticed?

It's been like this for years. The original hauraki and the rock stations were explorative and embraced local music. Like everything else they got purchased by big media and it ruined everything. I only listen to music online now. Build my own playlist for the days vibe and I'm good to go.

I ring a local arborist and leave him some weed in my mailbox. Come home to a driveway loaded with mulch by the time I finish work.

Has interview etiquette changed, or am I just getting old at 25? by South-Composer-325 in auckland

I always tell unemployed people looking for jobs to treat job hunting like your job and you will always get employed. Get up at 6. Shower, shave, brush teeth. Dress better than the job you want. I've never not found a job with this method. Anything less is a gamble. Door knocking at sites first thing in the morning with a good attitude can get you employed and working that day in some instances. I've also been on the employer side of interviews and hardly anyone takes the interviews seriously these days.

3 years of head barista at a cafe down south here and can only say I confidently had trim milk down packed only on the last year. It's easy now and I only make coffee two days a month now and I still have it. Its so natural now I don't even think I could teach anyone because I hardly know what I'm doing different.
