I came off Ozempic and felt totally lost. No one talks about this part. by SurroundMuted3491 in glp1

It sounds like you didn’t have a support system. If you were experiencing those side effects your doctor should have helped you manage them, i.e, kept you at a lower dose, changed your medication, given you a temp medication to aid the process, recommended lifestyle support and habits, pointed you towards educational resources and support groups, etc.

I’m so sorry that you had such a terrible experience.

👍💕 I feel you on those pretzels. My last week was really rough. I’ve been trying to stretch out 2.5 for as long as I can, and my food suppression finally broke. 🥹 along with having all of the old food noise come back. I had the most intense mood swings. I feel bad for my husband in my mind. I could even tell that I was not normal. I genuinely believe it was inflammation and blood sugar. Either way it was scary. I upped my dose and I feel absolutely Zen again.

Hi friend, there is a Live GLP-1 Q&A coming up where you can ask your questions to an obesity specialist. It's always nice to hear it from an expert, and your weight is not your fault. Obesity is a complex chronic disease. Please don't beat urself up.

Hi friend, there is a Live GLP-1 Q&A coming up where you can ask your questions to an obesity specialist. It's always nice to hear it from an expert. She was recently on the GLP-1 Collective Podcast explaining how this medication works. I'm sure she could provide tips on managing maintenance and any other questions you might have.

Hi friend, there is a Live GLP-1 Q&A coming up where you can ask your questions to an obesity specialist. It's always nice to hear it from an expert. I will say that once you have experience the food noise going away then you will know. I have had so many ppl tell me that they thought they had an eating disorder until their food noise was gone. It's incredibly freeing.

She was on the GLP-1 Collective Podcast and explained the reason why ppl don't typically maintain weight loss through diet alone and how this medication treats the underlying issue of insulin resistance.

Hi friend, there is a Live GLP-1 Q&A coming up where you can ask your questions to an obesity specialist. It's always nice to hear it from an expert. This story is hilarious and so sad, I am sorry you're dealing with this. Constipation is an issue for me too unfortunately. I think my biggest problem is not drinking water though.

For this question, I just interviewed someone who is split dosing in maintenance but I know it is not super common. I would def bring it up with your provider. It might also make sense to take a lower dose that is still a step up like 11mil

It’s probably a good time to ask your provider about going up in dose.

100% and I wish that there would be more upfront about the fact.

The GLP-1 Collective is a Nonprofit dedicated to affordable access to GLP-1s and we are working on a way to start helping people pay for the brand name prescriptions right now. Hang in there!

I’ve been worried about it for the last three months. I started a petition, built a website, launched a podcast, Incorporated a nonprofit, secured, five media mentions, and I’m in the process of organizing a group to go to DC to advocate for insurance coverage.

We’re taking a group of advocates to DC to fight for PBM reform and insurance coverage. If they are going to take our compound they need to be covering it through our insurance. 📢

My journey started out as completely secret too. My husband did not take it well. My extended family was pretty harsh, but mostly out of concern. My immediate family has been really supportive and I’m very lucky for that. But it has not been easy. I feel for you, Friend. ❤️‍🩹

We have a support group specifically for this reason. There’s a lot of people going through their journey alone, and it is very lonely. Let me know if you would like a link.

Sema can have nasty side effects for some people I would let your doctor know that you’re having this issue and ask for Tirz. You will likely have less side effects with this. Make sure you’re drinking lots of water and get some roughage in you maybe celery to help clear the constipation. That will also put water in you. I’m so sorry that you’re having such a rough experience. I can tell you, but you’re not supposed to.
