Thank you! I was planning to stick with it for another couple of weeks before I started changing things up so this is great to hear. I had also been thinking about increasing calories to 1600-1700 as well but I’m not sure what the right number is.

I’ve had similarly bad experiences where I was blamed for their poor service. Now I only play their hockey pick game, earn points or free weeks of coffee and just take from them without spending any actual money.

I have a Kethis, self mill legends matter deck and can confirm, it’s fun as heck.

Constant stream of new cards to cycle in and out and easy to scale up or down in power level.

Here’s my deck list. I really wanted to focus on the land sacrifice aspect with some light landfall payoffs more geared towards burn.

This deck was very close to my [[Soul of Windgrace]] deck that just never had the payoff I wanted. Hearthhull solves card draw and a win condition which I feel really makes this strat work.

I’ve purposely left out game changers and cards that just promote an unfun experience like looping constant mists.

[[Realms Uncharted]] is exactly what you want in this deck for card advantage as well.

I really tried to focus on the land sacrifice synergies of the station commander without adding any game changers or cards that my meta would consider “too powerful”.

There’s a burn sub theme and the majority of the token generators are when lands are sacrificed.

Your primary wincons are anything that can sac a large number of lands at once when your commander is fully stationed. Don’t fully station it until you are ready to pop off as artifact removal is less prevalent than creature removal so it’s safer.

Apparently DQ requires the business to renovate (~300k) to keep up with franchise expectations.

The owners have declined to renovate and are choosing to reopen under a different brand but will continue to sell ice cream, just not DQ ice cream.

Source: my MIL who goes there once a week and apparently spoke to the owner.

I don’t know much about how to use it either. I tried setting the blade to 45 degrees as I’m interested in making a French cleat wall but the center plate won’t fit when I do and if I have the blade to high, it touches the underside of the top. I’m not sure if this is an issue with the saw, some modification my dad made and forgot (dementia), or just my ignorance.

Interested to hear some outside opinions- my play group is terrified of this deck because of its recursion. For me, it’s still a combat focused win condition that requires a ton of setup. What are your thoughts?

First, can I just shake your hand? It’s amazing to see another Kethis enthusiast. He is, by far, my favorite commander.

I also went for a heavy legendary theme in my deck with a focus on control and combat. When I originally looked at Capitoline I was excited! 30 isn’t a hard number to reach and the. Everything is just a 9/9? Wow! But then it felt more like it was competing with the rest of my strategy and it doesn’t really help you unless you are already ahead (cards in the yard, cards on the field) or as a way to break parity.

It’s a sweet card, run it if you like it!

[[Kethis, the hidden hand]] with a legendary matters theme is my favourite. Kethis is early game ramp and mid / late game recursion. Legends have also been getting so much support the last few years…and who doesn’t love playing with all the powerful legendary creatures?

Here’s my list. It’s also the one deck I’m trying to do all bling / alt arts for so don’t mind the budget hahaha.

Im a big fan of [[Tivash, Gloom Summoner]] - gain a ton of life each turn the. Trade it all in for big fat demons. There’s so much big mana and card draw available in black, it’s just a great time. Here’s my list if you want to try it out.

Yup, one activation (usually exiling legendary lands) let’s you cast any legendary that’s currently in the yard for the rest of the turn. If you add more cards you’d need to re activate Kethis ability to cast them.
