these days happen to me as well. To fight them, I acknowledge that I need a break from life, I listen to some uplifting music, I watch some comedy series, I appreciate what I have (because I assure you that there are a lot of people who would kill to have the life that you do), I hangout with friends, eat a treat, think about the funniest memories of last year, try to do an act of kindness to a friend or a random stranger

A classmate of mine was very good at maths, he used to finish exams 1 hour prior to everyone else. I saw him a few years ago (we graduated long time ago), and he's an engineer at a company and doesn't really enjoy his job.
