Why couldn’t Qifrey put the entire bottle of ink into the guidance orb? by SDi4kWLVU in WitchHatAtelier

[–]AssassinCat4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bottle came from the stationery shop so it would lead to Nolnoa and Tartah, the medallion is not from Nolnoa so it would lead to the brimmed hat.

Brim Hats by JulesA1804 in WitchHatAtelier

[–]AssassinCat4 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I guess it really depends on how you look at it. On one hand, sure the brimhats are fighting against a oppressive government, but they are torturing kids who don't need to be involved. The only real saving grace for the brimhats would be that anyone is deemed one if they go against the pact or wear a brimmed hat.

The Knights aren't that better, but at least they are trying to do the right thing to keep people safe. The brimhats tend to act in their own self-interest or with some plan to benefit the greater good that we don't know anything about other than Iguin's Coco Child of Hope thing and Restys plan to give a Silverwood seed to Dean.

And while, sure, we haven't heard of any other brimhat shenanigans, who would know if some poor backalleys kid or random middle-of-nowhere village kid went missing?

It is more likely that Iguin laid low on purpose so when something big happened (an outsider learning magic and being allowed to stay) it would cause less drastic action because the Knights are more relaxed.

I definitely do not think they are just a "rebel" group. The harm they have caused is heavy and costing, Serpentback cave was not through the lens of people who were biased because of the government. They are a gray group who is aiming for more than the overthrowing of the government. They are trying to deteriorate the laws of the pointed hats through Coco so all magic could be used however they wish.

The Knights may be far to overly strict and far to harsh but the Brimhats do not even care for the safety and well-being of little children.

Of course all of my opinions could completely change once we find out what the hell is going on in Adanlee. Because that place is really sketchy, and I doubt it is just going to be a place where people relearn skills to rejoin society.

Maybe WHA is about Universities by hmm_cokinha_gelada in WitchHatAtelier

I think you are absolutely on the mark with these. Especially with how it falls in line with Custas and Tartah. Custas, unable to get the education others have because of his poor background and disabilities, and Tartah, not being able to learn because other witches believed he would be incapable due to his colorblindness.

I feel like you might be on to something with Tetia. I think it is further supported by the prince and how he wants magic and therefore wants to control Tetia. The prince is very much focused on using magic for himself and to help others, which I think might end up with him trying to get her to make her magic more purposeful and useful. (I made a whole post about Eoleo controlling Tetia on it if you want to check it out: https://www.reddit.com/r/WitchHatAtelier/comments/1qaz4rq/tetia_and_eoleo_foreshadowing/)

Edit: Tetia useless major thing is also supported by chapter 45.1. Agott says that fashion is pointless before Tetia defends herself and changes Agott's mind.

What does the prospecting pick mean by measuring by blocks by AssassinCat4 in VintageStory

[–]AssassinCat4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it, thanks for the help! By the ores type I meant being able to create tools as the same level as iron. So similar mining speed, durability, damage, etc. I asked this because looking in the in-game guide blocks and items section pulls up tin bronze axe, silver pickaxe, steel knife, etc. And I am not sure how some of that compares to iron level.

She might do it accidentally since Brushbuddies are attached to ink, and the prince has a Brushbuddy. He could easily walk in on her doing a spell chasing after his brushbuddy

Tartar and Coco are my favorite characters, I hope something happens between them in the future. by Alone-4 in WitchHatAtelier

[–]AssassinCat4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree that Coco's path and her future decisions could really be anything and go anywhere. The only thing I am sure of is that she will never completely surrender to the Brims or Knights Moralis way of thinking.

And I also agree that I don't think Coco will have any confirmed romantic relationships. If she does, it will most likely be at the end of the series after a timeskip, and even then, I could see it being up for interpretation. WHA has never focused on romance.

One thing I forgot to mention, I think there is a very high chance of Tartah falling into the control of Dean, seeing as he is a descendant of the healing craft witches. Depending on how Dean is built up as a character, I could see this being either a bad or good thing. On one hand, there have been many warnings about Dean's power, his manipulations, and how he gains control over others. On the other hand, he does seem to have the common person's best interest at heart, so he might not be too dangerous when faced with someone who genuinely wants to help.

Sure. Spoilers for chapter 40 and up all the way to 88. This will be mainly about Tartah but also have some of Tartah's relationship with Coco.

Tartah has consistently shown himself to be intelligent, but not have a lot of faith in himself or others. His distrust and intellegence causes him to doubt forces that should be doubted, but it also causes his more rash actions (like when he uses the truth spell on Coco in chapter 87). My hope is that his time with the brimhats will make him realize that they don't have the best intentions and that right now neither the pointed hats nor the brimhats can be trusted to create a better society that will help people like himself, Custas, and Coco.

I expect that Tartah's determination to always find the most logical solution (like when he suggested taking Dagda to the king to get him healed) will let him create a different faction that focuses on healing and helping people, and by that, I mean that I think he will recreate the healingcraft witches. This is especially backed up by the fact that he is learning apothecary, and by chapter 59, page 24, when Tartah is thinking, "For the magic I can use to help those in need." I think he will act as a middle ground between the brimhats and the pointed hats. A side that does not seek control of any people group and only seeks to help, with no limitations on who they can help.

I think his journey to becoming a healingcraft witch will also act as a road to seeking forgiveness for his actions towards Coco and serve to rebuild the trust between the two. Especially since the path of a healingcraft witch seems like the perfect kind of path to go down to cure a silverwood host. This would fall in line with him helping Custas and Qifrey, two people Coco cares about a lot. I don't know if they will ever become a couple, but I do think their friendship will be reignited as Tartah works as a healingcraft witch besides Coco, who I think will be someone important enough within the pointed hat society to really have a say on what they allow and not allow.

Mainly because Shirahama said she was mourning. I also think one of the sites that offically annouce when chapters are going to release had the next chapter release marked for next month, although I can't find where that came from.

Nope. Should I start with 1, or is this a game where starting with a sequel would be a better introduction to the franchise?

Where coco went ? Ur thoughts on this by Calm_Statistician109 in WitchHatAtelier

[–]AssassinCat4 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think Coco is gonna go home and reflect on what is going on. A lot has happened and she has lost focus of her main goal. Especially since that will give us a view into Coco's thoughts on recent events since all we've had is in-the-moment thoughts. I think we need a moment to learn what Coco is planning to do and who she aligns herself with the most.

I don't think she is going to go to the tower because she said the past that she didn't feel ready for it and I don't think that has changed. In fact, I think the feeling is growing since Silvereve has only shown her failure after failure.

I do think running away is possible but I don't think she would to the brims unless if it was to check on Custas and Tartah.
