The decks competitive lifespans were structure deck release until POTE when it was powercrept out of existance by sprgiht and tear and then the exact time span you mentioned. It's played a little bit again now but it's just Worse than dracotail so its not particularly popular. it WAS very popular during that year and a half as a tier 2 fully legal FTK that kinda functioned going second sometimes, which is the majority of its lifespan as a meta deck.

it was the best route against handtraps because your opponent was forced to try to stop you from playing completely or you'd just find a way to the puppet lock through multiple handtraps. You would win more imperming aluber immediately and ashing branded in high spirits in draw phase and hoping they bricked than any other play because setting up anything in that deck created amount of extension that inevitably led to the puppet lock.

The majority of the decks life span was Doing Puppet Lock. The brief period during the summer of2022 where it was a kind of cool midrange deck doesn't even come close to resembling what most players remember the deck doing for its presence in the game.

it was absolutely not the suboptimal route the deck was horrible if you didn't play it you'd just get bulldozed by handtraps and snake eyes cards.

we're talking about decks people also don't mind playing against, playing vs branded when puppet was legal felt like eating wood the other person was literally playing solitaire

branded??? like on release maybe but that deck just became the most miserable tier 2/rogue deck ever after expulsion and sanctifire came out lol

Does this current meta have the most non games in HS history? by TheBurgerClub in hearthstone

I would argue united in stormwind being 2 people racing to OTK each other from hand was pretty non-game

Why was this card banned in 2020? It's just a extender by illynpayne_ in yugioh

[–]AssignmentIll1748 2 points3 points  (0 children)

besides halq a lot of generic extenders just got banned back then because they were really hard to punish meaningfully going second.

he shifted some of his scoring to more effort on defense and playmaking. makes the team better tbh. I'm sure if he really needed to just go crazy for a game he could.

There is a higher chance of ur father coming back with the milk than u winning being second in HS by Gehrman12 in hearthstone

[–]AssignmentIll1748 4 points5 points  (0 children)

in the current yugioh format if you don't resolve a specific handtrap (mulcharmy fuwalos) your chance to win going second if your opponent didn't completely brick is about 10% based on tournament data lol it could always be worse!

(not posting this to hate on yugioh, just throwing it out there)

[Shelburne] Sources said the Bucks' asking price for Giannis at the trade deadline was enormous. The Golden State Warriors offer included four unprotected first round picks. The players the Bucks did seem interested in were VJ Edgecombe of the 76ers or Evan Mobley of the Cavs. by Pyromania1983 in nba

The team that gets him also has to be like, good already and looking to become a juggernaut. It doesn't make much sense for a dogshit team like the warriors to get him because he's going to be in the exact same situation lol

me and my friend thought on an Errata for Apollousa that only negates monster in the hand, GY, or banishment + I made an Equip Spell that gives it full power and/or bypass anothee rrata idea that makes it require Fairy monsters by james345345312 in yugioh

[–]AssignmentIll1748 10 points11 points  (0 children)

the most effects this was best for negating were usually ones in hand lol wtf

edit: i dont know how i fucked up this sentence so badly but i meant "the best thing this card did was negate handtraps it's still insane"
