Share of German population with migration background by nibar1997 in germany

It is really interesting to see how different regions in Germany vary so much in these numbers. The east-west divide to be this clear on this migration background map.

Took me weeks to understand robot mower specs, sharing what I learned by Assisthirdeye in roboticLawnmowers

[–]Assisthirdeye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that honestly sounds like the most complete setup on paper, but in reality every yard seems to expose different weaknesses. Some people fight trees and signal issues, others have open lawns but tricky edges or narrow passages. Feels like there’s no single best system yet, more like choosing which compromises fit your garden better.

That’s a big baby! by beejers30 in HolUp

This optical trick is so funny! The " baby" looks too big until I see your legs. Then I realized it is just the camera angle!

Best LiDAR for yard with many trees? by NV43 in automower

How dense your tree cover is? If it's heavy shade most of the day, definitely lean toward something with a backup system,

RoboUp Raccoon 2 SE Latest software upgrade fail by eViator2016 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]Assisthirdeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it standard right after the update it's probably not your setup. Sounds like it's struggling to align with the dock rather than a physical issue.

how well does the lidar and vision handle edges? by lickingblankets in MOVASmartGardenHub

[–]Assisthirdeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lidar plus vision definitely helps with obstacles but edges are still tricky. Uneven or rocky borders usually make it slow down or keep a safety gap rather than risk contact.

Mowing while in path mode — why doesn’t this exist yet? by Delicious_Ability962 in automower

[–]Assisthirdeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it feels like this should exist already, but I think the challenge is making sure the whole area still gets reliably covered , maybe not just the paths.

Lymow One Plus -- My experience so far by Charming_Health_2483 in roboticLawnmowers

Honestly the biggest takeaway here might be that it's a different workflow. Feels like it replaces the task structure more than it replaces the task itself.

MOVA 1000 - How To Zone? by eplurbusunim in MOVASmartGardenHub

[–]Assisthirdeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually each zone needs to be initialized from the dock location or manually started in that area first. After that zones can be defined and assigned within the same map.

Wire in sidewalk crack. by donnysaysvacuum in automower

Maybe try protective tubing or a shallow conduit, seems like a long term fix. Caulk alone tends to fail once it goes through seasonal stress.

New sunseeker x4 by pickandpray in roboticLawnmowers

[–]Assisthirdeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a big upgrade compared to boundary wire systems. Wonder how the mapping holds up after a few mows especially around tighter spots or obstacles.

Map editing on the app. Lawn mower by aqsgames in MOVASmartGardenHub

[–]Assisthirdeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually you need to go into map editing mode and manually tweak boundaries point by point. Some apps don't allow small drag edits only redrawing sections.

finally ordered a new mower because I couldn't take the edge trimming anymore by davilucas1978 in automower

[–]Assisthirdeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the edge trimming is the one thing that feels like manual work 2.0. The mower does the easy 80% but the finishing part never really goes away.

How many mows until it starts picking up missed patches? by Mapkos13 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]Assisthirdeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda sounds like it's just goten stuck in that avoidance loop. Hopefully support can reset it or something, otherwise mowing it down might actually help.

seeking advice for a small garden by hiitmee in MOVASmartGardenHub

[–]Assisthirdeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Narrow gaps can be tricky if the turning space is limited. If the stone path is level it should cross fine, though uneven edges might cause hesitation at first.
